so yeah, kubrow gets a bodytype and behaviour. awesome.

kubrow need DNA maintenance, sure.

 

we need to steal egg from wild creatures. couldn't we just biopsy the embryo ? or even better, since we can make plant juice with scanners, scan the eggs ?

 

everything is awesome.

 

now, the ugly part.

even if i put the technical part where i will forma him 8 times and cuddle him to death

even if i put aside the fact that it is virtual and he's not really existing (some peeps would even disagree on that. persistence of the throughts and such.)

 

releasing the creature i raised and took care of, who took bullets and killed for me. no @(*()$ way. the grins will crawl on my dead body to get him.

 

plus releasing an unstable GMO who can breed with wild animals ... not a good plan.

 

could we not simply use genetic therapy to modify him, like ourselves when we switch armours ? the tennocyte nanoforge can do that.

 

and a last thing ... please don't make us log everyday to keep our kubrow in check. or let us buy a maintenance drone/keeper/entertainer. and have a portable app with minigames. and stuff.

this whole feature could bring a new kind of player in the game, not the typical gunslinger nobrain, hardcore on 3rd person shooter, i like this idea weirdly.

 

when it will be done, this thing need to be spreaded widely on the net. i think.

 

edit : i realised that pokemon made kids shredding each other for money and fame while practicing blatant eugenism a legit and healthy thing, but it's absolutely not ! especially when you force them to mate with an asexual piece of gum to get eggs.

this is actually worse, he doesn't even escape, he dies, because he's trapped in your ship. i know it sounds stupid but i'm the kind of dude who punched badly those fat kids who let their tamagochi agonizing in their feces while bragging about it. not very proud of that.

 

this is virtual yes, but it influence us.

 

and yes, using guilt to make us log would annoy me a lot too

Reading the reddit summary, it appears that the "release" thing is only because we can only have one kubro at a time, so to get another we need to "release" the previous one (I'm going to pretend he's retired into a kennel and keep screenshots). It doesn't seem to have been any mention of stupid "feed your pet erryday or else...", so I'm going to assume DE is innocent until proven guilty on that point.

There's still the issue where to get the Kubrow that you want you have to grow one, find someone who is willing to breed with your's and then toss the one you spent so much time and effort growing and bonding aside just like that.

First kubrows on earth missions, then the grineer beast tamers, and now this...enough with the wardogs already.  This is a space ninja game, not a history based total war game.
