Atomic_Beam Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Hi there! I was thinking about something interesting today. People are complaining a lot about players being lazy and all, so I though that maybe we should add some performance points instead of that useless skill stat on the profile that means nothing. So, when you finish a mission, the global stats of each player at the end of the mission (the orange text that means where each players exceeded the most) should award us with a performance point or a star or whatever. Making people be able to accumulate those performance points just to stack them up on the profile would really make some people play better during a game. Some people will want to accumulate them to show off and it would tell a lot more about a player actual ''skills'' instead of this other skill stat on the profile that means nothing. What you guys think? It would give me a lot more purpose to be better than others during game time.
XenosInfinity Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Yes, but it also instantly makes everyone compete to be best at it and then leads to people requiring you to be able to prove you have a certain number before they'll send you an invite to anything. We get enough complaints about killstealing Novas WITHOUT that being actually recorded by the game and made something that people actively want to do.
taiiat Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) sounds pretty good actually. you'd even be able to check if someone likes AFK'ing all the time or actually participates. this sounds like a very healthy addition to the game. Edit: preferably, to defuse 'elitist' mentalities, higher Level Missions would award more 'performance points', to incentivize playing appropriate Missions, and not just playing Missions on Mercury all day to get more 'performance points'. Dalu__Ka Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 No thanks, would encourage power spamming amongst other "bad" behavior.
