Just like in situations before where they had to give people stuff retroactively -> They will just run a script and give a Prime rifle to everyone who made a Wyrm Prime prior to their patch. And people who make the Wyrm after the patch will receive the prime rifle right away. Nothing to worry about. Their remark really left much open to interpretation. They could've easily meant that they would run a script checking for Laser Rifles and if you had a Prime Wyrm they would exchange one of them for a Prime rifle.
