I Have More Than Doubled My Frame Rate!

Question

Posted (edited)

From someone who was perfectly fine with having an average FPS of around 30 or so, I now have a comfy and very cushiony 70 FPS.

I'm still experiencing hitching. Is there nothing I can do to fix this issue? The frame rate drops are not as bad as before (somewhere around 25 FPS with 40.0 m/s frame time, whereas before it was about 5 FPS and over 100.0 m/s frame time), nor do they happen as often, but they are still happening.

I was thinking it was something to do with my computer, but I'm not so sure anymore. Warframe Support was no help with this whatsoever, and I'm done dealing with them since they have an aversion to listening to me.

Kind of off-topic, I think, but Support did tell me to disable the 64-bit mode in my launcher, but it didn't work. Didn't bother to tell me how to fix it, though. Anyways, when I disable it, the launcher does not update. Do you guys know any way to fix this? Wondering if maybe that will help.

Thanks. :P

EDIT: If anyone is wondering how I managed to increase my FPS, two things I did:

Enable Multi-Threaded Rendering via the Warframe Launcher. Only do this if you have more than one core. I have a quad-core processor, so it worked out perfectly for me.

Someone told me to enable DirectX11 with it, but it didn't make it better. It didn't make it worse, either, but the frame rate is higher with just Multi-Threaded Rendering on.

Second, update your drivers. My general motto is, if it ain't broken, don't fix it, but I don't think I can stress this enough. Might be worth trying out.

Turn V-Sync OFF. That also helps, at least for me.

Was it you who I told what multi-threaded rendering was?

Anyway, the general motto is to always have your drivers up to date, especially whenever an update hits.

Yeah. Someone else told me to enable DirectX11 with it, though. Didn't help me much, to be honest.

Anyways, it has definitely made a huge improvement for me. Intel would not install the driver update automatically, and I had to install the .zip file and do it manually via the Device Manager. Glad I did it, though.
