Whitewolf..UK.. Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 The Torid used to be a really fun weapon before 2.0. But now.... it is rather pitiful. I have 6 Forma on my Torid and built a gas mod setup today and got Gas up to a little over 10000. It still sucks!!! Seriously guys what can we do about this??
Bakim0n0 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 The acrid has it way way way worse... and even worse than that a whole lot of people (myself included) forma'ed the heck out of it before it got nerfed way into the ground and became a very ugly bolto with a small amount of elemental damage.
(PSN)Shadow_Of_Hunhow Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Add the ability to put firestorm on it, double the toxic cloud size, add 50% more damage to the cloud, make the cloud have a 75% proc rate or even make it like the acrid and make it always proc poison if you enter the cloud.

Acrid has a 100% Toxin Chance. if you can't think of any uses for that... :/
Riccoshot Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 If you're using Gas on anything besides light Infested, no doubt it will be bad. Mod in with required combos vs different faction and realize... that it's still decent. Btw, DE, where's the cloud animation?
Riccoshot Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Acrid has a 100% Toxin Chance. if you can't think of any uses for that... :/ Yeah... not scaling with elementals (i.e. useless on Heavy units after like level 40 already (<raw damage)) Acrid is the decent tier weapon as well now.
Whitewolf..UK.. Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 So what really would be a good way to go against infested if not gas then?
KIREEK Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 (edited) Add the ability to put firestorm on it, double the toxic cloud size, add 50% more damage to the cloud, make the cloud have a 75% proc rate or even make it like the acrid and make it always proc poison if you enter the cloud. While the weapon sucks for regular gameplay, it combines perfectly with vortex, it kills everything so fast to the point i never saw it strugling to kill enemies. Having the clouds have a 75% proc chance is a bad idea, 5 bullets * 2 (multishot) = 10 clouds and each one has a small change to proc each second. You want them to proc 75%? that's 10 chances to proc each second. That might be a little to much. Gas works greatly as long you can make some really good use of it, if enemies are spreaded around then it won't be any good. Concentrate the enemies, vortex is the key. taiiat Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Yeah... not scaling with elementals (i.e. useless on Heavy units after like level 40 already (<raw damage)) Acrid is the decent tier weapon as well now. yes, it's not that awesome with it's not amazing scaling of that Toxin, as getting other Effects to happen or boosting the Toxin can be a bit frustrating, but, since we've gotten to 3 of the 4 Status Elementals, it's Status can be very very high already, and it'll be higher after the 4th as well. so 100% Toxin, +a high chance for whatever else Damage Types you have! not too shabby. though it would be neat if Acrid did some Slash Damage too ;D So what really would be a good way to go against infested if not gas then? Corrosive annihilates 2/3 of the Ancients, and is neutral to the Trash Units which all die instantly anyways. Healers are only left, which are weak to Radiation / Ice.
Archistopheles Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Scott's too busy with U14. Apparently he is the only one who handles weapons and warframe balance.
VegetableBasket Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 It needs a big AoE and proc chance buff, it should be a low damage proc machine IMO.
