kimahn Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 hi, i wondered if we could get a white thread helper. this game exists in Daedalus style games since a lot of time, from what i understand, it calculates the shortest route between you and you're objective, using the enemy pathing system and use a super lightweight graphic overlay, in our case it could just be particles, tuned on our energy colour. something easily readable that do not consume a lot of resources ? it does not require to be perfect, and most veteran would probably turn it off after a bit of time but ... for the new dude who is lost on earth, crying under a root while the others are fighting, it could be proven handy :) and the tiles could become a lot more complicated without having the "messy syndrome" cheers

When pressed it would shoot out the particles (Or maybe the little drone thing they're going to use for menus.) and it would quickly go through a path like in Killing Floor... except you push a key.
kimahn Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 i was thinking about an option that could limit binding, because ps4 has not THAT much buttons. when you maximize your map and put it in overlay, the white thread should activate, and stay activated, then you have to get a combo to switch the thread's target, like aim+maximize, it could link you to the nearest objective, the nearest loot mark, the nearest enemy mark, then your peeps ? or perhaps a wheel, like for the gear. i dont know. but in the first time, a thread that could show you objectives then extraction. could be nice.
