Azawarau Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Before the new infested units i always felt like sentinels died too easily because of the few ays they can be healed (Random health drops,Blessing,Rejuvination) With the new gas cloud units sentinels die even quicker than ever... As a Valkyr melee frame i dont have many options when it comes to gas clouds and enemy explosions, Charge through and tank them Just wishing Sentinels didnt die on the first visit of a bombard or lose more than half of their HP in seconds Via gas cloud
Angius Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Vitality + Steel Fiber for Sentinels. Nobody uses them AFAIK, so now there is the reason for them to exist.
Marshall Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 My Shade is actually very durable with high rank mods like steel fiber, redirection, vitality, etc. he/she/it does not survive one hour tier IV survival though. most of other missions run fine
Azawarau Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Vitality + Steel Fiber for Sentinels. Nobody uses them AFAIK, so now there is the reason for them to exist. I use high redirection and vitality for my sentinels Steel fiber i havnt used yet, doesnt seem worth it but might give it a shot if it keeps them from dying so quickly My Shade is actually very durable with high rank mods like steel fiber, redirection, vitality, etc. he/she/it does not survive one hour tier IV survival though. most of other missions run fine IIRC shade has the most HP And turns invisible randomly and isnt as an aggressive a shooter so it wont really draw aggro Probably the best for long runs I use wyrm and carrier most and they dont really go as long Edited June 22, 2014 by Azawarau
Flamed Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 They only time my Helios and Shade dies is because I went down. They rarely died even during infested missions. I think the best way to prevent them from dying faster would to avoid running through poison as a Rhino or Valkyr. Even though you may be immune to poison as those 2 frames, your sentinel is not.
Sormaran Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Vitality + Steel Fiber for Sentinels. Nobody uses them AFAIK, so now there is the reason for them to exist. +redirection, all maxed. And still sentinel dies too fast, especially when i play as valkyr. Ofc i mean high lvl enemies, like 40+ at least.. Edited June 22, 2014 by Sormaran

Its not just that Bombards and Napalms Ancient toxics eventually do it too Its difficult to completely avoid for someone whos a melee tanker If health drops were a bit more regular itd help a ton When youre a melee frame youre gonna have alot of sentinel issues You can get in close but your pets cant take that kind of heat
Marshall Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 sentinel dies too fast hey, you need to remember that sentinels are our pets and we need to watch after them! if it is in danger you need to evade dangerous situations and also pick up health orbs sometimes or do other stuff to make it survive!
DaftMeat Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I use max Redirection/Vitality/Steel Fiber on my sentinels, and they rarely die on me.
OrangeIncarnate Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Someone suggested a gear item to revive sentinels. https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/250859-gear-to-revive-your-sentinel
(PSN)Judgment2007 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 It may not help a ton, but I find that throwing the hush mod on the death machine rifle keeps them alive a smidge longer. Poison and bombards will still be problematic, but may give that extra edge.
Kaotyke Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 There's the problem that the Sentinel doesnt "Level Up", Health and Shields remain the same, his mod capacity just raises, nothing more.

Sure Sure. Use health kit when sentinel is low hp, or got damaged. Higher level enmeis can almost instant kill them. What about the soon-to-be-kurkbrow? they are melee... and i'm sure they can attract aggro as well.
Joyfulmama Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 In infested endless, even if you put maxed rank redirection, steel fiber and vitality into your sentinel, you're almost definitely going to lose it to the gas from mutalist ospreys
deth_monkey69 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Imo sentinals shouldn't die, but I don't think they should shoot either. Straight utility that doesn't die. Or are significantly tougher. Edited June 22, 2014 by deth_monkey69
