ViLeDeth Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Think Metal Gear VR + Mastery Rank tests ( well, basically like Mastery Rank tests), some missions with a basic mob and others just floating rings/gems/spheres etc set up from beginner to intermediate and to expert. This is something that can be a fun treat for people who want to test out weapons and practice their shots with them. Why bring this up? 'Cuz there's are a small group of people crying over mutatlist ospreys and none of them are being careful and/or have a hard time aiming at them (funny hitboxes aside). This would help new players who are really new to shooting and want a way to get some practice in to help them adjust to moving targets and distance ones. Hurray for practice! edit: BTW, I'd play these for the fun of it. Edited June 22, 2014 by ViLeDeth
-Refractor- Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I just suggested an idea somewhat similar to this through a PM the other day, we definitely need SOME kind of target practice area, shooting range, a field of enemies without AI(maybe.) We just need something.

People asked for it in the dojo and since Scott has explained that the dojo is not a place for such feature maybe they can have these types of missions in place of what people have asked for. Glad you mentioned it previously and welcome your reply too! Edited June 22, 2014 by ViLeDeth
Methanoid Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 ppl wanted a firing range in the dojo, tbh we have a Dojo Key to go into the dojo, why not build a Firing Range in the dojo, but using the firing range boils down to building/using a Firing Range key which takes you into a personal Firing Range all by itsself, no other players present like in the dojo. the Firing Range built in the dojo would not be useable inside the dojo and is only a requirement to build a key.

Well what I'm suggesting is another form of target practice. Both can live in the same game, the mission training is really for getting people to mess around in a dedicated space without DE concerned about performance issues.

Yeah pretty much the MR tests outside of being a "test." They already have it in place and compared to building a lot of stuff, they could reuse assets and create these in maybe a week or two.
