Odd Situation?

last night I started up the game (pc), d/l'd the last few days of hotfixes, or whatever, and started a ceres dark sector survival.

 

but when I ran up to extraction the game didn't end.

I stood there for a min kind of surprised, then realized it said I was waiting for the second player.

finally, the timer winds down and the stat screen pops up with this mystery guy on it, who had done 4% of the dmg.

I didn't know him, but recognized the name from my friends list, as I had probably added him for some trade.

thinking I had been 'online' or something, I checked my status and it said 'private'.

 

wtf that's kind of creepy.

One time during a Breeding Grounds event run me and my teammates extracted and as soon as the guy like, latched on the thing that carries him away, my camera started falling and I saw the skybox shrinking and shrinking and then after that I lost connection to the host, but still extracted and got to the stat screen.

Friends can join your private games.

To stay along you need to go to Invite-only or solo.

If you're set to private people on your friends list can join you.

Set it to Solo to play on your own 100% or Invite Only. Otherwise things like that can happen.

I had someone join me whilst on my naff pc. Let's just say the pc didn't like that too much.

I have numerously encountered this bug/glitch:

- I switch to online.

- Go into a mission.

- For some reason I change my mind (usually soon after entering).

- I abort the mission.

- I'm at the menu, switching to private mode.

- I enter a mission (in private mode).

- Not waiting for anybody, I'm alone, I host.

- A bit into the missions, someone joins.

- Name pops up, I don't know the guy.

- Then others appear.

 

Apparently if you leave an online mission you might end up being stuck as online, even if you switch to private (I've tried switching to solo and back but that didn't work either). At least I've found a way to host an online match since the game doesn't provide us with a host button (and I frequently end up in a mission even if I don't want to).
