What about the exploit people used to get high scores in the event this week? Broken. All the other thousands of "metagame" exploits? Broken unless they actively add to normal game-play as well. That's what sets exploits and unintended features apart.And they fixed it, and will fix it if they haven't.And don't expect anything different from developers who are concerned with the quality of their game. If it's broken, they will fix it. You have no entitlement towards things you purposefully used broken mechanics to get.

You can't attribute everything to greed. That's being overly negative. If they were that greedy, they would have kept stat helmets in on purpose to generate more revenue. As I see it, they just wanted the capability for people to use whatever helmet they wanted without sacrificing stats or having to use one they didn't like for stats. Still, look at skiing in Tribes. An unintended feature that ended up defining the game - that is true meta right there. Or quake's rocket jumping, though technically that had roots in DooM. Still, that's what real Metagaming is. So far, we've had a few metagame things in Warframe but most are glitches and or exploits.

As prior to this it was "well I'd use it but then i'd lose X stat" It also made the "bad" helmets with nice cosmetics more appealing in the long run to, as no one in their right mind would have used the Meridian helm for trinity before the change.

Remember the Quick Thinking+Rage combo that made people invincible that got fixed? What made people think that that wouldn't change? How could people even get mad at that? I like iron skin how it is now, I'd just like a visible number of the amount of health iron skin has. It's perfect where it is now, instead of being a timed godmode. However, when it blocked 90% of the damage it was fairly bad. I don't blame people for being at least a bit upset - but the whining that happened was just atrocious.

Like I said I gotta do more testing. Hm, well. I could see how auto parrying could be OP.. does it cost stamina? Even then though, you can't attack while parrying, even with auto parrying.

They need to make a new heavy weapon type/explosive weapon type - and have it use its own ammo. The amount of damage you can do currently and the lack of ammo shortages at all is indeed shocking.

This is in the low priority along with Ammo 2.0 at the moment. DE focuses on what they think will affect the most number of people positively (at least that's what they've shown). Ammo restrictions (as opponents of the Ammo 2.0 call it) doesn't add that much to the average player. What it truly adds is a new way to balance weapons (excluding melee). However, adding more variables into balancing might backfire and make adding new weapons take longer or re-balancing existing guns a chore.

Personally, playing meta is nice on the occasion, but too much of it doesn't allow creativity when playing, so both sides have points, but meh Godspeed :D

Helmets cost 75 plat in the market for purchase. Think back on that to before helmets were striped of their stats. To buy a stat helmet, it cost you 75 plat. Now to buy most of those helmets, you're going to have to pay several times that much to get the same item that used to cost only 75. Removing stats increased plat sales - not the other way around.
