TrueHawkEye Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 It might just me be But i would love to see a left handed Male and female Frame. I know there all right handed but I find it would be lovely to have a left handed frame. Since like only ~10% of the world is left handed, so one of each would be fair? Anyone else would like to see the idea?
Farren Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Press H in-game. All frames are ambidextrous. Edited June 24, 2014 by Farren
VKhaun Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Press H in-game. All frames are ambidextrous. That just moves the camera. The frame is still a righty.
Athros Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 That just moves the camera. The frame is still a righty. If only switching camera also changes your weapon hand... It would be a major plus to stealth (and cover) system.
blackstraykitten Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 this could be a waste of timebut more options is what we need right now
blackstraykitten Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Even though the -h- key just moves the camera, it's still essentially changing left to right or right to left. I use it to change my view and door cover just changing the view is not same as changing left to right, vice versa your warframe will still shoot from his/her right which could be blocked when a corner wall is in your right sidethat being said , if a corner wall is in your left it wont be blocked whether your camera is moved or is in default.now think about it Edited June 24, 2014 by blackstraykitten
Undead_Zeratul Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Being a lefty, I could appreciate an option to swap hands, but it might come at the cost of animations clipping because of asymmetrical models. DE has worked on making everything work for the models the way they are now, and if they swap it, they might clip unexpectedly and cause some headaches. However, having said that, I wouldn't mind having some lefty frames running around. Nice subtle addition to add some variety.

I dont know just was an idea since you rarely see left handed people in movies or games.

I dont know just was an idea since you rarely see left handed people in movies or games. eh, making an entire playable character that's only left handed will cause issues with the rest of the world who's right handed and simply won't take a left handed character into battle. Granted, it worked for Link, so it SHOULDN'T be an issue, but you never know. I'd say just let it be a toggleable option so anyone can play as any frame left or right handed as they wish. Even if it does come with clipping issues, it's going to be minor so I don't think it'll be that big of a deal.
Brimir Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 ... why? There are far better things for them to spend development resources on.

Methanoid Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 thats extra work for something that has no impact on the game, sounds the same as the ppl wanting female/male variants of every frame, more work and nothing really changes.. -1
Marthrym Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Nekros holds a bow with his left hand. I'm a lefty, I used bows before. The main factor is your eye. We all have a "favored" eye. This is what mostly determines which hand holds the arrow, to align it with your "aiming" eye. The other hand holds the bow naturally.^^
