[DE]Momaw Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 I'm wondering. Most of the "armored" Grineer (not the scorpions or the butchers) have some kind of a hump on their back, sometimes really up on their back. What do you suppose is in there? I don't think it's part of their anatomy since we see slender Grineer, so, maybe something to do with their armor? Power assist system? Cooling? Speculate.
Hired-Gun Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Whatever life support system that keeps their degenerated organs running.
DoomsDayDan Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Reactor/giant battery for their power armor maybe
Momoynator Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Water and fat stored in their humps to last them a couple days in the desert without eating or drinking :3

Speculate. the grineer are massively deformed by their constant cloning. could be a hunchback, could be some kind of life support, could be energy storage for limbs that have been replaced with robotic parts. Slurmageddon Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Food delivery system water purification and intra-venous application Air filtration system You know.... space marine stuff!
OtakuTom1992 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Well to be fair I thought those little glowy circles on the back of the humps looked like thrusters...so I assumed they'd have maybe a small booster system.
-Hyperion- Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 thats where they keep their genitals How does that work for the Heavy Gunner?
Somedude1000 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Thats where they keep their confiscated Greedy Milk, don't ya know? :3 Godspeed :D
Paradoxbomb Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 I always thought it was a Neural sensor, it has a similar shape and would make sense since they're supposed to be augmented (the real question is what Alad V. is doing hoarding all of them?)
GunBladeSlash Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 i would say a battery to power their exo-skeleton/body i mean have you seen how high some of these grineer can jump! i dont think a degraded clone is capable of such feats with out power
Meganin Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) It reminds me of this kinda obscure game Phobia 3, were you had this armor and the in game explanation for the design of the huge shoulder pads was to give the armor a low head profile, so the aliens wouldn't chop your head off. Maybe that's the same thing with the grineer armor, they are scared of getting some Hate. Edited June 24, 2014 by Meganin
Tar_Spit_Fire Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Water and fat stored in their humps to last them a couple days in the desert without eating or drinking :3 isn't that.... a camel? oh nvm..
Tarille Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Probably candy. I mean, who wouldn't want candy when sitting around waiting for Tenno to come... In reality, it's likely just armour plating with the intent purpose of protecting them from headshots from behind as well as absorbing explosive impacts that occur behind or above them (If they're crouching)
grillv20 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 How does that work for the Heavy Gunner? warframe lore, they will put it in eventually huehuehue
MagpieOAO Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Their hump their hump their hump. Their lovely lady lumps.
Corvid Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Most likely life support systems + power storage for their prostheses.
