nekrojiji Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) Why did I build a Distilling Extractor instead of a Titan Extractor? I start to fail to understand! Distilling Extractor needs harder to obtain resources to build and takes longer to gather the planet's resources for the promise of rarer resources gathered. I keep a Distilling Extractor on Jupiter 24/7(If It takes damage I replace it after I claim my resources). Before 13.7 this extractor was bringing me 3~5 Neural Sensors approximately once every ten days. After 13.7 I haven't got a single neural sensor. Well,... that being said, I ask you: Why the hell did I spent 150 oxium on a worse Titan Extractor!? Edited June 25, 2014 by nekrojiji
tecreno Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 i dont realy care much for extractors but the distilling one seems like a waste of time
DoomsDayDan Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Distilling extractors would be great if something other than clantech materials and control modules were the 4th resource on any planet
Muffle Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I like distilling extractors overnight because I don't sleep for 4 hours.
(PSN)Zeylon Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Distilling extractors would be great if something other than clantech materials and control modules were the 4th resource on any planet Clantech materials are the most pointless loot in the entire game. You get more than enough to satisfy the research material requirements even solo in the course of week or so. Why would anyone would blow a day 15k credits manufacturing the resulting injectors/fieldrons/masses when it's 10x easier to just grab them from infestation missions after few-minute jaunt easy missions and actually gain credits at the same? To reiterate they're the most pointless loot item in the game. The distilling extractor seems completely pointless, yes. In a month of using the titan extractor, I got a couple neurodes once. Comparing notes with someone using a distiller, it wasn't better. Neither are worth the time it takes to click on them.
nekrojiji Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 .....and another week goes by and no neural sensors from jupiter!
BiancaRoughfin Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Well,... that being said, I ask you: Why the hell did I spent 150 oxium on a worse Titan Extractor!? For the same reason i spent 300 Oxiums on a single Prime one, to have them bring me 16 Orokin Cells from Saturn or Ceres every now and then...
unmog Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 RNG Its not RNG if everyone has the same results... I notice I get more rare resources from titans. Maybe its just because I can run 2 titan extractors in the timespace that one distiller takes. Maybe they never actually adjusted the chances for anything. Who knows... but I think its BS that my extractors can even obtain blue faction resources. We should be able to have more control of what it brings... tell it at least one thing NOT to bring back maybe... but yea... for that much oxium, for that much time to wait... it should do its job better. Btw I have noticed distillers tend to be tougher, or take less damage than titans. But for resources? I dont see much a difference... Id think Distillers should at least hold more resources. And why not make prime extractors available on the market for Plat?
SirSlayer Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 yep, I agree it's not entirely RNG .... like with the transmutation system they are changing stuff secretly. Sadly due to encryption we can't check anymore ;)
Archistopheles Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Back in my day, we didn't sit around waiting for a little robot to farm our stuff for us. We went out and farmed it ourselves.

Originally a phrase said by the elderly, "Back in my day" is now a meme that you can read about here: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/grumpy-grandpa The humor comes from the unwillingness of a grumpy old person to accept changes that go against their original beliefs.
Metalbawkses Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 what part of higher chances do people not get? It's not guarantee to give you any rare resources, just a higher chance, however little that may be.

Alright, didn't catch that, yes I know about that.... it's just hard sometimes getting all "jokes" ;)
