Muffle Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Not everyone has the most reliable connection. Many of these people with poor connections still try to host games. This is fine when it's a game in most of the solar system, because if they disconnect, a teammate can take over. However, in the void/derelict/any place that requires a key, this can be incredibly punishing for teammates. I was just in a 35 wave ODD (Orokin Derelict Defense) mission that I was doing for experience. The host disconnected, and we lost 35 waves of experience. I don't think this is a very fair way to run things. Why should everyone be punished for the host's inability to stay? So here is my proposed solution: Should the host of a game leave, the players are given 20 seconds to decide if one of them wants to take over the game. This will require them to use one of their own keys (that was probably the motivation for booting all players when the host left in the first place, conservation of keys). Should someone volunteer, the host will migrate. This at least adds some layer of security to joining random hosts, unsure of whether they are able to stay. This will also allow people to continue waves of defense after the host elects to leave, so they don't have absolute say over whether the match can continue or not. Please consider implementing this change so people are not punished for joining bad hosts. I understand that, unfortunately, peer hosting is necessary for this game. I wholeheartedly believe that it can however be improved.
(PSN)IIIDevoidIII Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 The issue with this is that when the host leaves, all the data (mods, experience gained), is lost. If we had a more reliable system instilled for that, then this is a definite +1.
IfritKajiTora Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) Devs maked no sense to this.they thinked like this, if someone will turn of the game because he don't want that reward will lose the key! : D YAAA YAAA dad is good idea.Patch update.Real time how it works.-Survival missions pfff I no Loki Prime part, kill me and I will dont lose the key so I can start from the beggining. There is no sense of losing key on turning off the game.-Someone used key for Void mission......WARFRAME CRASH......FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! LOSED T4KEY!! WTF WTF WTF DAD GAME!!! OOOOUUUUU LOOOOL!!! THAT SUCKS WHY THEY MAKED IT LIKE THIS!!!??There was no reason for doing that because people can fail the mission and start over instead of turning off the game.Next patch: If you fail the mission you lose the key xD Edited June 25, 2014 by IfritKajiTora
