I agree, a buff is needed. But it already has a timer.

 

 

shadows need to properly follow you just like the specters do

^this. It feel like such a waste when they just loiter around where I spawned them. They shouldn't fall back to their standard enemy patrol route. Invasion allied mobs follow us around, why can't they?

If I'm not mistaken it already does have a timer, though it could definitely use a buff. Right now shadows are just an over-glorified distraction and Desecrate fuel, which is pretty underwhelming for an ultimate. Shadows that actively follow you around and have increased health and damage output compared to their normal counterparts would be a more than welcome improvement.

maybe a toggle-ability? as you kill them they turn into shadows. until one of them is killed another will replace them from your captured souls

that sounds great I'm all for this then desecrate is actually even better since it keeps the energy coming

The biggest problem with Shadows of the Dead is that it actually DEBUFFS teammates by blocking their shots.

Why DE let this be like this for so long is a mystery.

It would take DE 15 minutes to fix SOTD.

 

All they have to do is this:

 

1) gives the current shadows the same AI as the tenno spectres. this way they stick with nekros and his teammates and play aggressively seeking out enemies. copy and paste the code.

 

2) turn noclip onto the shadows so players can shoot through them.

 

3) make the shadows slightly transparent so players can see through them.

 

 

There, it's fixed.

Literally the easiest thing to fix in the game.

Been saying this since September-- it needs a priority system. Volatile Runners should never be overwriting Ancient Healers, for example.

Right now, the only way to raise an army that's actually worth the 100 energy is to selectively kill targets and allow fodder enemy units to survive. The current system encourages killstealing and discourages contributing to mission objectives.

Add a damage buff for actually shooting through them like volts shield
