For the past 14 updates, we have been picking up blue and red balls to get energy and health.

These balls (who for some reason look like holographic Earths) look really out of place in Warframe.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the idea of health pickups, but can we at least make them visually pleasing while still have them remain clear on what they're purpose is on first glance?

They better be like a blue *Energy Cells* having Potato\Egg form... And Health pack, having green color (like a gas wich Tenno using to revive alies)...
In my oppinion, this stuff would be on their places in this game.

And yeah. He said this thing right. Agree on 100% with Him.

who cares about the optics?

the real problem is, that health orbs got a droprate from like two per mison, while regeneratiing only 5% of your health.

We should make them look similar to Stimpaks in FO3.

Nah, they don't fit the art style of WF.

Sounds good, I always thought that the health pickups should be in a form of a blue and red/green cloud of technocytes. Because particle physics.

About Technocytes Clouds..> this idea is even better!

Instead of this *Platforms* with Energy, Ammo, etc they can spread nanites from some aerosol cans.
(Yes. Ammunition will be assembled directly from the nanites)
Physics Is in use. It looks elegant. And most importantly:
1.Fits into the universe,
2.Logically explainable how it can be punched out of the
infests.
Greneer and Corpus ammunitions would remain to be like they are now.

Oh! And almost forgot.
3.ATLAST it could be Logically explainable how tenno can carry so much ammunition on their own without some pack's etc.

Maybe a mini Vortex-like cloud of technocytes, that are held in place by a miniature gravity module...?

Something like that, but I'm not sure where you would get a gravity module for every cloud of technocytes.

Maybe the corpse just glows green and blue, and when you go near it, it dissipates into a cloud of fresh technocytes.

That's an even better idea!

Quick, someone draw some concept art!

EDIT: I just realised that I'm not incompetent and can draw stuff. BRB!

Well, there`s also the option of the healing technocytes floating around in levels similar to the "swirlies" in Infested missions, just glowing blue/green...

Well. I wrote a letter to DE'Rebecca about this idea.

If she look in - see what she says)

They do look like crap but that does also mean they stand out, letting you easily spot them in a pinch

Truth as well... But there are many ways to attract your attention to something :)

I'm back. And I have CONCEPT ART!
Dear god I didn't know I suck this much at fast doodles. I've got to work on that.

Oh, and here's the concept art thingy.

ohhh, the neck pain...

But looks pretty decent... just try to rotate it properly please... :)

Eheheheh... Sorry about that.

Should be fixed now.

Actually, for health, can we have something similar to those Star Wars: Republic Commando bacta dispensers, one for the Corpus and one for the Grineer (i.e. static, on the wall and heals for 20% of maximum health of the player/enemy that uses it [that means players/enemies can use it only once])?

Would probably help to flesh out the ship a little bit, in terms of immersion (first-aid kits).

As for energy, probably the aerosol can (or a syringe, but that may be interpreted the wrong way).

easily spot them in a pinch

I vote 'no' on the whole changing the art idea, because ^

They are simple, unique and visually distinct, which means they are easy for players to scan amidst the field of debris. There's basically nothing you can do to make them more complex than a sphere that won't also make them harder to find at a glance.

...Except that you can make them fit with the artstyle and still have them be easy to spot...

What, don't believe me?

Okay then, have some examples:

Team Fortress 2 (Cyan coloured, pretty easy to spot )

Left 4 Dead (Being red is pretty easy to spot against the dull, gray and brown background)

Halo (Very clean white and red is pretty easy to spot even in the lush forests levels)

Metroid Prime ( Little balls of phazon that hover in the air and glow )

I see no reason as to why DE shouldn't put more effort into the artstyle of the health pack. Having them remain as blue and red balls is just lazy.
