(PSN)Hooligonzo Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I'm encountering a situation where it seems like the Angstrum might be producing its multishot projectiles too closely together and they're detonating on each other. I don't even know if that's possible, I just know that it seems like the gun is back-firing and blowing off my eyebrows on occasion, and that's the best guess I have, since it doesn't seem to happen before I level it up enough for that Barrel Diffusion mod.
BrotherIcarus Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Ye it can happen with the Ogris as well. I imagine due to the amount of projectiles fired there is a higher chance of them colliding.
(PSN)kiddplay13 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) I doubt that since Angstrum has a dedicated pattern when shot. When i shot mine to a far wall in ODD, it cause a Sunflower type pattern Not my pic BTW got it from Reddit Edited June 25, 2014 by (PS4)kiddplay13
Tarille Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Don't forget, enemy shots (Also, Scorches flames and Arc Traps) can prematurely detonate Angstrum rockets too. The way Scorches and Arc Traps work, make it pretty futile to actually try to fire the Angstrum while they're attacking you. Other enemies weapons can still detonate the rockets but are less likely to (Due to how accurate they'd need to be on the fast rocket projectiles) I don't believe that Multi-shot on it's own would cause it, because of the special attack pattern that it has to deal with that when firing multiple rockets using the charge mechanic (Even more so when combined with magazine mods to increase the number of rockets) and after using the Angstrum extensively, the only premature detonations I saw were due to enemy fire rather than multi-shot.
Katinka Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Are you using Carrier? Shots can be detonated by ammo drops and other loot being pulled in front of you by a Carrier.
EverythingNagato Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 My angstrum has barrel diffusion, lethal torrent, and ice storm, for a total of 90% + 60% multishot, and 4 in a mag. I have noticed a FEW times this happening, but not a lot.

(PSN)Hooligonzo Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 I guess Carrier is a distinct possibility, but I know this has happened while easy-moding Orokin Derelict Defense for Affinity, just pelting the pod or a Vortex with explosives, using the Angstrum. From a sufficient perch, the drops should be out of a range from the Carrier, which leads me to think the Multishot might be the culprit. While the charged shot does seem to have a pattern, the regular shot is where I'm experiencing this backfire.
NoeleVeerod Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Never had the Angstrum backfire on me, and I have both Lethal Torrent and Barrel Diffusion. O.o
Dualstar Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) Theres probably something thats causing it, but after so long using the Ogris i just accept that its a risk thats well worth the reward of 50k raw damage. Edited June 25, 2014 by Dualstar
ShadowCore67 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I've never had that problem and I have barrel diffusion and lethal torrent on mine. Idk why it would be happening to you.
