Question Re Phage And Elemental Damage

I know it has Viral damage which is Cold and Toxin. If I add Electric damage will I get the benefit of magnetic damage or are you limited to one combo element per weapon. Also if i put heat, cold, electric and toxin on say the Drakgoon will I get all the combos or again is it limited? thanks in advance.

You're not limited. In fact, you can even do something like Magnetic + Toxin + Viral if you wanted, since its innate element is already a combo.

 

If you put all of them on Drakgoon, you're limited to only two combos.

Phage's Viral can not be combined with any elemental mod (unless you add another viral combo on to the weapon), so no, you won't get magnetic. 

 

If you put those mods in that order on your Drakgoon, you'll get blast and corrosive.

Oh right, I just reread OP and I think some clarifications need to be made.

 

What I meant is that while it's true you're not limited, you still have to remake the combinations. For example, if you want magnetic, you need to put both Cold + Electricity. Only one of the two won't cut it, and will only give you Viral + Cold or Viral + Electricty. With both mods in, you get Viral + Magnetic.

So if I do cold, electric, and heat in that order I will get magnetic and heat not magnetic and blast since the.order they are placed determines the combos from left to right. Is that what you guys are saying?

That is correct.

 

Phage being one of the weapons with an innate combination element, you could actually get 3 different elements installed, a trait unique to those weapons with innate combo elements, of which I believe there are less than 10.
