ZyloWolfzan Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 It really feels bad to spend solid, hard-earned money on a weapon, only to receive what is essentially half a weapon, or 1/3rd of a weapon. With the induction of Melee 2.0 and the stances, purchasing melee weapons with platinum should always include the stance which matches the polarity of the weapon you buy, because otherwise, there is almost no point. You would be better off just waiting for it to research, and build it, because you STILL probably won't have the stance you want within the 3 day research time, and 24 hour build time. Purchasing items with Platinum is supposed to be a convenience, it is spending money to skip the grinding process, and go straight to the gameplay, however with melee weapons you now pay Plat, and skip straight to the GRINDING PROCESS, because now you have the weapon, and need to spend hours/days/weeks/months(Depending on your personal RNGesus-based luck) to get the stance you want for the weapon. If people are going to spend actual money on a weapon, they should get the WHOLE weapon, not half of it, and at this point, stances ARE half the weapon, when it comes to melee weapons. If you don't have a stance for a weapon, there's almost no point in using it. signed so please DE, if we're going to pay you money for a weapon, give us the whole package. Zylo the Wolfbane
Xirka Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I, at least in part agree, though you may want to rework your post to get others on your side. Many will just say Tl:dr and give it a pass.
Mirriky Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 tl;dr But I like the idea of getting a 'recommended' stance with the platinum purchase of a melee
Rubbertubtub01 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 It should give the stance that fits the stance slot's polarity.
Jin_Kazama Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) How about instead you go buy the Mod in the Trading post like everyone else? You already get a bloomin autoinstalled Orokin CatalystYou may aswell ask for a 10 day affinity booster just for that weapon whilst your at it D:Plus even if your idea was implimented, it would Destroy the cost for them in the trading post, making it extremely harder for those who cant afford plat to actually earn it. Shion963 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Everyone who bought a Nikana would agree with this, probably.
Frostosti Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 if it was, then its the first item you can purchase with plat and resell i think.

Zylo the Wolfbane Please stop signing you name it's not necessary, and is rather annoying. : )
Dhrekr Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Every weapon comes with a default stance. The default stance just happens not to have a mod card, does not have a polarity and a positive balance effect on your total mod capability, does not to have a fancy name, and not to have combos but the default EEEE. So there you go. When you buy a weapon you are immediately awarded a (very basic and not very powerful) stance. DE themselves call it a stance. To their eyes, what you buy is a "whole package", as you say.

weirdee Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) if you wanted to make a halfway comparison, it'd be like having to find warframe powers from drops all warframes are able to function without their abilities, but without them, they're basically a generic suit with stats that are sort of different from other suits but don't do anything else Edited June 26, 2014 by weirdee
