Coming Back To Warframe After Five Months (Need Updated Info.)

Question

Posted

Since I took a (long) break from Warframe, I'm having trouble keeping up with some of the new info. If following Warframe so I know what's been going on but there are still things that are starting to be hard to follow. So a few simples questions, specially regarding grinding spots and some other recent changes:

What's the best place to farm morphics, neurodes and orokin cells?

I've noticed that Kappa/ Kiste doesn't seem to be popular anymore (damn Corpus). When I played, I used to just run War on Mars for morphics and ODA for neurodes and orokin cells . But someone told me that you get a lot of these resources them from Dark Sector missions. I did one on Mars (I think it was Mars, I don't remember) and got 8 morphics. So, clearly this is a viable option. But what is the specific Dark Sector missions you think are the best to get these resources?

What's the best place to level up weapons?

Without Kappa and Kiste I feel a bit disoriented. What are the best places to level up? I prefer defense/ mobile defense but if you guys know of really good survival missions I can also consider it.

What are best primary, secondary and melee weapons?

This is such a noobish question but I just like to know which weapons are the most powerful since to me they are all good in their own way (so it's hard to pick a weapon for "endgame" xD). Also, I'm seeing some weapons which weren't all that great being frequently mentioned as "really good". So, I'm a bit confused.

What are the most appreciated warframes right now?

I'm asking this because I saw someone name Mag a "Nova clone". If someone said that to me five months ago I would have thought that person was absolutly crazy. Also, Ember seems to be used a lot (which is quite the surprise). So, I need some update feedback on this xD

The Dark Sector missions on Saturn or Ceres are good for Orokin Cells. (I forget where Neurodes drop...)

The Dark Sector Defense mission on Pluto (I think it's called Seimini, but I could be wrong) gives you pretty good experience from what I've heard. It's not Seimini, it's Sechura.

Probably the Boltor Prime, Angstrum and.., maybe the Dragon Nikana? Opinions will probably differ.

Opinions will differ on this, too. Loki Prime seems pretty popular at the moment.

Also, welcome back.

I would say the dark sectors are the answer to your first and second question. They give nice amounts of resources and credits and exp. Sechura pluto is really popular although you will have to get a group that is not going to wave 5 and leaving for the credits.

the best primary is boltor prime, secondary brakk/marelok/stug, best melee dragon nikana/orthos prime/dual ichlor

Mag can nuke anything with shields with shield polorize which is awesome, nova got a kinda nerf but is still great, trinity got nerfed and is sad now. Rhino prime and loki prime are cool and great and hyped up.

1. Oxium is now a new resource exclusive to Oxium Ospreys, of which have a tendency to spawn significantly on Kappa under Corpus control. Morphics are fairly common, dropping from Captain Vor and Pluto missions. Neurodes can be dropped from Orokin Derelict Defense (ODD), Orokin Derelict Survival (ODS), Earth, and Eris. Orokin Cells can also drop from Orokin Derelict Defense (ODD), Saturn, and Ceres.

-Vay Hek has received a rework along with an event after Project Tethra dealing with fomorians, now fleeing the known nodes of Earth. He can be found by defeating the new Grineer guardsman and prosecutor types on Ceres that drop frequency beacons. (event=Silence Vay Hek)

-Hydroid (new warframe) drops from the new Vay Hek.

-Project Tethra awarded the Gorgon Wraith and new electricity mods.

-Breeding Grounds awards the Prova Vandal and new fire mods

-Cicero Crisis mods now drop from Corrupted Vor which now lurks within the Tower IV Void missions, utilizing his Janus Key to grow his power.

-Stat helmets have been removed, while Arcane helmet variations still exist and are trade-able which can no longer be obtained otherwise.

-Nova's Molecular Prime has been nerfed

-Long duration abilities are now toggle-able.

-Rhino and Loki now have Prime variants.

-Boltor Prime, Lex Prime, Bo Prime, Ankryos Prime, and Wyrm Prime.

-T4 Void keys.

-Interception, Hijack, and Hive are new mission types.

-Raid is no longer a mission type.

-Rescue missions have been reworked, introducing Wardens and Rescue 2.0

-Ash has been buffed.

-Melee 2.0 has been introduced, bringing stance mods and combos that have dawned the age of superior fast melee weapons.

-Melee charge attacks have been removed.

-Channeling is a new way of enhancing melee weapon damage by fully equipping your melee weapon and using the LMB to channel energy into the weapon.

-Charge-based melee mods are now focused towards channeling mods.

-Argon Crystals are new decaying resources that can be found within the Void.

-Tenno research.

-New research weapons.

-Orokin research.

-Dark sectors are new nodes separate from Grineer or Corpus control that have been overrun by the Infested, but can be conquered by Tenno clans who fight over them.

-Clans can forge alliances to conquer these dark sectors.

-Dark sectors can be taxed with credits and resources (but you may receive hate for doing so).

-Dark sectors are good places to farm credits/xp, and comprise of defense and survival missions.

-Trinity has been nerfed.

-New warframes

2. Typically, high level survival or defense missions are the best place. I find Orokin Derelict Defense (ODD) to be a good place. With the addition of the new Breeding Grounds event, the Technocyte Virus has evolved, capable of infecting robotic entities.

-Mutalist Ospreys

3. This is a matter of preference, but the best weapons stat-wise will have to be:

Primary=Dread (red crits have been reintroduced after yellow crits by achieving 100% critical chance), Soma, Boltor Prime, and Amprex/Synapse.

Secondary=Marelok, Brakk, Detron.

Melee: Dragon Nikana, Dual Zorens, Jat Kittag, Amphis.

-We are nearing U14, which will bring pet kubrows, new player ships and UI, alliance management, and others. We are currently in U13.

-Feral Kubrows are now neutral enemies of Earth.

-You may have missed out on some events, which may leave you unfamiliar with the current star chart.

4. Every warframe has its strengths and weaknesses, so you'll have to do some experimenting to see which one you like the most.

Personally, I prefer Oberon, Volt, Frost, and Ash.
