Highest Damage Melee Weapon

So, I have all kinds of melee weapons;

 

Ichors

Orthos P

D Nikana

Bo P

Dakra 

 

Now, I need to know from some experienced players; which one deals the most damage and what can handle lvl 60+ Void better? (excluding Ichors, I would like a different type of weapon)

 

Some say Dakra, others say Nikana... which one?

 

And Bo P or Orthos P for AoE/ fast damage (they both are pretty fast with their attack)

 

And if you would be so kind, post a build for em :P

Another thing I would like to add is that some report doing about 150k+ damage with Dakra... Now I assume that he had the best combo of buffs to go a long, including loki, but I prefer a build with high damage with only Roar as the only (available) damage buff

Personally Orthos with reach AOE like a boss

 

D Kitanta for damage per hit

 

Ichors are too low range

 

Orthos Prime is best DPS if you consider the multiple enemies hit with every strike

Dakra Prime with Crimson Dervish is the objectively highest possible melee DPS.

 

Bo and Orthos are great for crowd mitigation though, and I would personally use either of them first.

Jokes aside, I would go for Orthos Prime because I personally prefer utility over damage. That long reach and slide attack work wonders on groups.

Yea Dakra Prime with Crimson Dervish... Crimson D add +300% damage when doing the stance combos. Then if you can work the combo multipliers to your benefit then you have some incredible crowd control.

Been testing a bit,

 

Crimson dervish Dakra / Roar / channel (killing blow) 

 

Average hits without multiplier/crit were 16k

Average hits without multiplier/with crit were 25k, Crit around the 50k

Average with 2x multiplier were 50k crit around the 100k+ (depending on enemy)

 

Now with loki, stealth.

 

average hits without multiplier/crit were 50k

Average hits without multiplier were 70k+

Average hits with multiplier were nearing 200k

 

I am still testing others like Orthos and Bo (though they are close to each other)

Dakra Prime with CD stance will deal the highest damage per hit. Its my favorite weapon to attach Life Strike too (most efficient heals)

 

 

However, Dual Ichors will give you the best DPS of any of the melee weapons. Not only is the base DPS pretty awesome, but the Berzerker mod mechanic gives it a huge boost to attack speed. On top of increasing the DPS even more, it makes the combo counter stack pretty quickly giving a nice boost there as well.

 

In addition, it's a base elemental weapon, which means it can be utilized better against enemies than an IPS weapon. For example, it will DECIMATE Ferrite and shielded units by having a partial armor bypass or a total shield ignore (built properly).

Yes, I know about Ichors :) But that's why I did not include them for suggesting,

 

Anyways, I tested D nikana, compared to Dakra, lack luster results... Which I should have known since the base damage of Dakra is tripled. 

I do like the speed of D Nikana compared to Dakra, but Dakra just does a lot of damage with Loki, and Rhino with roar as well.

 

Orthos I always liked... both looks/speed and damage/crowd damage. I will still use it!

 

Bo Prime is a lot of fun with high attack speed.

 

It's just hard to choose!

Still Ichor for damage. The higher level you go to the more important it'll be to be dealing as much Corrosive as possible. However if you can coordinate 4x CP auras with teammates, the slash base of the Dakra will actually be very good, negating much of Ichor's advantage.

 

Basically, Dakra when using Life Strike, Ichors for pure DPS, and Glaive Prime or Kestrel for AoE / thrown / headshots. Some of the corpus melee weapons, particularly the Lecta, are very useful with a proc build for utility. Everything else sorta falls into the 'okay but not particularly amazing' category.
