Warframe 1999: Share Bug Reports and Feedback Here! ×

I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone who is constantly venting their frustration in the Beta Bugs forums.  Warframe needs to put updates on hold until they can figure out what is causing players to have so many log in issues.  Digital Extremes is releasing all these amazing updates, and all of these weapons we'll only have 1 chance to get (like the vandal weapons), yet well over 1/3 of the Tenno population can't get into their games!

Personally I haven't been able to do anything involving the new bosses, and I still don't even know what an infested hive looks like....

But I'm not here to say "Fix these problems so I can play."  I'm saying "Fix these problems so WE can play."

And yes, before anyone says it, I'm well aware that they're are probably multiple branches of Digital Extremes, and some focus on bugs while others focus on updates, but that clearly isn't enough, or we would be seeing more posts with solutions instead of nothing but problem after problem.

Bottom line these new updates won't mean anything if no one gets to play them.  So Digital please try, and put just a bit more effort into investigating the log in bugs, any amount you can spare will help us I'm sure.

I'm pretty sure there is a team that works on updates and a team that works on fixes.. i don't see why one should stop so the other one can work, we just need to give them time to check the logs, recreate the bug, see how they can fix it, re/code the bug, not everything can be fixed within the hour each process takes it's due time, oh and we get hotfixes quiet often ( one of the main reasons i love DE ) compared to other games (cough Blizz/Riot cough) we just have to be calm and keep reporting bugs, and again patience.

On the other side if they stop the updates im positive someone else will open up a thread saying " ZOMG NO UPDATES WTFBBQ BORING GAME" ergo not everyone will be happy, DE just does what they think it's best.

TLDR: OP wants more people on the Bug fixing department.

First off, you're exaggerating a little. 1/3 of the entire warframe gaming population is a HUGE fraction of the community. If the problem was that bad,DE would have at least announced  something about it. Second, these kinds of posts are more common than you think. There are hundreds of threads saying the same thing "Less updates, only bugfixes." Despite the fact that many of the more gamebreaking bugs have existed since way before any of the recent updates came out. I don't know what causes some of these bugs, but it's clearly not the new content since those tend to get patched fairly quickly.

Third, Debugging is not a problem that can be solved by just throwing more people at it. This isn't a retail store, this is software design. As a programming student, debugging involves testing a program and searching through dozens or even hundreds of lines of code to see exactly where you screwed up. I don't know how it is in the business world, but I imagine it's based on a similar process. A team would help, yes, but having too many at once can get really messy really fast.  Even with an appropriately sized team, bugs still get loose simply due to the fact that, especially with game programming, there are variables you simply can't account for.

Bottom line, It sucks that you, and many others, are having so many issues logging in, but at this point there's very little we can do but wait until DE has solved the problem. Even then, however, it will never be solved for everyone. There's always someone who will be experiencing some kind of bug more often than others, or someone who can't log in for whatever reason. That's just how it works.
