I will apologize in advance if this is simply repeating statements others have made, or repeating the obvious, but I felt compelled to brain dump after watching the last few Dev Streams and the discussion around preserving events.  Hopefully some of the community's brain storming can help keep these events (or at least elements of them) in a persistent form, indefinitely.

First and foremost, the Breeding Grounds event was brilliant in conception and execution, despite minor glitches around deployment schedule and AI proclivities.  Thanks to all the teams involved for your hard work.

Tileset Placement

-----------------------

The easiest inclusion would obviously be a permanent takeover of Eris, or select missions thereof.  If the latter, it could maintain a persistent threat of invasion spreading across the planet, should the hives go unculled for too long.  Alternatively, or in addition, one could make the hive ships a component of Infestations on any planet, or even access them in a similar fashion to Orokin Derelicts.  The last option gives us another construction use for Nav Coords, Mutagen Samples, and possibly Fieldron Samples (Detonite ampules as well, should we get a Infested Fomorian Hive tileset eventually), in "key" construction.

Infinite Scaling /w Persistence

--------------------------------------

Using the "total point" system already implemented, there is an excellent opportunity for player controlled difficulty.  If the "stink" were to slowly build up on player-constructed "decontamination units" carried in our Gear like Dragon Keys, instead of on the player within the warframe, one could choose to run the breeding grounds at a higher starting difficulty, or start anew.  If the players are capable of crafting multiple "decon" devices (unstacked), they could even rotate through several with different contamination levels, to control said initial difficulty by loadout.  If it were determined to be desirable, the "decon" device could even affect Infested on Derelicts, etc.

Barely coherent ramblings complete.  Many thanks for your patience in reading to the end.

Oh, and it completely slipped my mind before.  If you happened to be carrying around a "decon unit" that had reached some high level of contamination, who knows what horror(s) one might awake from their hibernation, on nearly any planet/mission combination (read: Infested equivalent to Stalker/G3/Harvester).

I would also think one could take the core idea of the Dragon Keys and apply them to your Decon Units.  Could you imagine an Infested Mod in similar comparison to a Corruped Mod? Perhaps new versions of current weapons, or just skins for my pretty-princess dress-up party?!  Infest skin-detail for weapons or my warframes would be cool.

I can already pretend to be godzilla, so this sounds like a pretty amusing idea.  The "Vhy and I drippink vith goo?" skin sets.

That aside, how would we differentiate from corrupt mods from infested?  Any particular themes in mind, to parallel the buff+debuff corrupted class?

Nothing specific, but perhaps something that deals specifically with an infestation theme?  Things like buffing speed at the cost of health come to mind for the warframe.  I would have to think a bit longer than my brief playtime at work allows (where I am currently trolling forums) to come up with a better list of ideas.  ;-)

To note on the first half, I could easily see something with visual effects adding to the wonderful mix we alreay have.  I would love for my Necros to actually look like he's decaying or has skin (metal-skin-exoskeleton) slophing off.
