Go buy the normal braton from market, it cost like 30k credits. level it a bit in lares or apollo and you should be fine.

Or did you mean the test to go from rank 1 to 2?  I'd recommend getting the Lex pistol. I still have fond memories headshotting everything with it at the lower levels.

Best get your current gear to the best they can be (max them out, place some good mods on them like dmg mods) then do the test.

It's a very simple test so really there is no method.

You are going to need a damage mod of some kind. For some unknown reason it takes some people a really long time to find a damage mod of any kind. But you drop ONE maxed damage mod on your Mk1 or Regular Braton, and it will become a lot easier for you. Just may take a bit.

Don't worry too much about it though, We were all there at one point in time or another :)

There are two ways you can get to the "slightly better than starting weapons". You can either go to the market (shopping cart icon) or you can go to Arsenal > Equip > and purchase that way. I find the Arsenal method to be a little easier personally (less clicking, takes you straight to the weapons for that slot). When you go in there, you will see a lot of weapons for platinum, but there are are also a couple that can be purchased with credits. Offhand I remember the Braton and Lex being available right away. (note that the Braton is better than the Mk.1 Braton that you start with, they're not the same).

Alternatively, you can keep farming Vor to get the blueprint and materials to make his special pistol, but that can take a while and I'm not entirely sure it's worth the effort, personally.

Wow, you guys respond so quickly... o.o  How is Braton better than MK-1?  I don't really understand the stats and all...

Well the main difference is the normal Braton does more overall damage but the damage is evenly distributed amount the primary damage types : impact (for shields), punction (for armor), and slash (for fleshy bits) where as mk1-braton is primarily slash damage. It also has a higher fire rate and some other tweaked stats:

oh and a few other tips for Mastery Rank progression.

avoid taking a sentinel. it can kill steal on some tests and fail u. u may not have 1 yet but bear in mind for future tests.

don't be disheartened if u fail a test and have to wait 24hrs. most people who complain about this also stop playing completely because they believe they are losing affinity from ranking up weapons and frames. rest easy on that, it stacks and when u pass the mastery rank test u will already be well into the next level.

and check the wiki out. some tests will be harder to complete purely because of ur warframe choice or equipment loadouts. rank 6 iirc is a cipher test made easier by spamming cipher keys as an example.

Loki is actually one of the easier frames to do this on if you don't die.

Drop a Decoy in the middle of the room and run around the outside, repopping the decoy when it dies. This lets you shoot the moas in the back when they spawn (the battery pack on the back is the weak point).

There's no rush to complete the test. Mastery you get is still accredited to you. While it's possible to do it with the starter gun, I would wait until you've unlocked a few other options and leveld up some mods. Dropping magnetic or toxin elements into your weapons will make it MUCH easier.

Ye'up, just up your weapon and mods. I am level, 11 I think? Every level but one I completed the first run through. The HARDEST level to finish thus far?

Level 0 to level 1.

I just went out and played a bunch, came back and had so much built up went from 0 to 4 VERY quickly once that first mastery was done.

What mods do you have?  I have some spare starter mods that'll help your fire rate and damage.

Unfortunately, if he's doing the rank 1 test that means he's rank 0.  You can't trade until rank 2 iirc.

I got a mod that increases my fire rate and something called serration for my rifle.  Aw darn, I wish I could trade already. xD
