Kestrel Might Have A Problem I Dunno

so I just got done playing a couple rounds on some planets to get parts,

and couldn't notice but when I throw the kestrel at enemys it does not respond to  the hit or implys the slightest hit an of course throwing the kestrel takes time to get back, leaveing me melee less for a bit has anyone besides me incounterd this befor

do you perhaps have power throw on, it will pierce multiple enemies, and blow up in your face when it hits an object (wall, door,    container   ).

since I'm using the kestrel too lately, and I don't notice anything wrong with it (glaive esque weapons exploding is described in the wiki, just mentioning).

 

otherwise I have no idea what the problem could be
