It depends on what you are fighting. Serro is incredible against Grineer (as with any Corpus weapon) because Electricity is one of the base elements for the 2 combined elements that are best against Grineer. However, electrically based attacks or combo elements aren't effective against Infested, so in that case the Orthos prime takes it.

This is basically true, except building Corrosive can be effective against most Ancients.

Basically, they're very similar. OrthosP has higher DPS due to faster attacks, but Serro hits harder and has the best base elemental (and thus better damage modifiers). It boils down to the extra proc on the Serro, imo. If the proc is useful, etc against Grineer/Void, I would say it wins. If its not, like using Corrosive against Infested, OrthosP is probably the better weapon.

Run gas electric status build on the serro, you'd be surprised.

I'm not sure but I'm partial to Orthos Prime, I traded for the parts, and levelled it to rank 30 in a blink, I use it in T3 and even T4 Missions with ease, and if you have Bleeding Willow, you look awesome :3
