Aaryl
It's being mentioned almost everywhere in Warframe's stuff description, which I think it's kinda....wrong. For example : Dread is the calling card of the Stalker. It fires arrows that can decapitate. Decapitate means to cut the 'head', for cutting of the stuff, everywhere should use a word 'amputate' or 'sever'....
Paradoxbomb
It's implying that it can be used to decapitate stuff. Although amputate or sever would make equally as much sense in the description since it's possible to sever any body part, using the term decapitate technically isn't wrong since it's also a possibility. That description could use some sprucing up though, almost sounds like it ends abruptly. Edited June 27, 2014 by Paradoxbomb
rapt0rman
What they should spruce up is the gore, more types of amputations for slash weapons (including decapitating head shots), and better representations for puncture and impact deaths :P
011100110110000101101101
Decapitate. Decapitate. Decapitate. Rolls off the tongue. Joking aside It is perfectly valid to say that. The Dread has arrows that CAN Decapitate. I don't see anything wrong with that. It's all for dramatic effect, decapitate just plain sounds better then sever, or amputate. Khaos_Zand3r
That is one tiny example. How does one case equal "almost everywhere"? Also, decapitate and amputate carry different connotations in language. Decapitate implies attacking with the purpose of killing. Amputate generally implies a last resort medical practice. Marthrym
I'd say "mutilate, maim, hack, lacerate, tear apart, butcher, maul"... Or just plain "murder". They're good words too.^^
