Today Is The Day! I Call On You, My Fellow Tenno! (Spectra Hype)

(This thread is created for the Spectra, if you do not care for this weapon, even IF it was buffed, there is nothing for you here)

 

Today, I call on you, Tenno. Whether you've been around since the beginning, or maybe part way through, or maybe even as of recent, I need your help.

 

Chances are, only the one who have been around for a year or longer know of the existence of this dust-catching weapon. When it was added, it was the little brother to the renowned Flux-Rifle, which since then has fallen to power creep. But no, Spectra didn't get the slow decent to low tier, Spectra was cut right down the middle, reducing it's dps to the lowest of ALL guns in the game. This is the worst weapon in the game. (Not to mention forma and fieldron required to make it)

 

Spectra's story doesn't have to end with it being buried under new content, or even just removed from the game.

 

WE CAN DO IT.

 

WE CAN BE HEARD.

 

What I ask, is for you to go about your daily activities on the forums, but carry with you in every post:

Honestly. I think the Spectra either needs to be removed or buffed. 

Reason being is that it is truly a useless weapon. I've tried to make it powerful but it just couldn't work.

 

They need to buff nearly everything about it. Especially…well this: 

• Spectra is the plural form of spectrum, which essentially means "range".
  • Ironically, range is something this weapon lacks.

I'd like to see DE buff the lato family first.  Throw a bone to the new players, they need it the most.

 

*edit* Actually, DE really ought to just do a balance pass on the older weapons in general.  A number of them were hurt by sweeping changes in Damage 2.0, and were never revisited.

You see, the Lato is a starting weapon. It has no requirements, and akLato only takes a bit of credits.

 

(I could understand buffing Lato Vandal/Prime though)

 

The difference is, Spectra is MR4, and uses Forma and Fieldron... and has WORSE dps than Lato.

 

The reason I'm vouching for Spectra (And the whole Energy Lab for that matter) is because they have MR requirement, Forma, and Clan materials required to build them, costing a lot of time and effort for not much payoff.

Supra is at least usable.

 

Not saying it shouldn't be buffed along with the other Clan-Tech, but you could bring a Supra to T4 void and actually kill something.
