I am not rank 15 but as of right now i can make all the weapons and place 3 extractors all the same as a rank 15 being only a rank 11. I believe that if one gets to rank 15 one should be able to place a 4th extractor and maybe a few new weapons for people past the rank of 10. that or have a Warframe that is only for upper ranks.

it's dumb to restrict weapons with ranks.

i could be rank 12 right now if i cared for ranks.

but i'm only rank 8 and thats only cause i wanted to use dragon katana

I'm all for a few cosmetics as a reward on the higher tiers. I was toying with the idea of Prime frames tying into mastery rank, but upon further thought, that'd be a hell of a S#&$storm if implemented.

 

Maybe the new focus system will be interesting enough to fill that niche.

Who says the rewards need to be weapons that are mastery locked.

High ranks should have some show-offy cosmetic items. People could still decide if they want to display their style with their purchased scarves an armor, or show off how high their rank is with rank-awarded items.

 

Having to grind to rank 15 to use a certain gun isn't worth it, but being able to brag about a rank you got to just to get there? That feels worth it.

There should be a reward or something for ranking up. It shows that a player is purchasing  and / or farming weapons, frames and parts.

 

Why even have mastery rank past 8 if there is absolutely nothing that is gained fom achieving it. Hell even a badge or something cosmetic would do like a symbol or number by my username in game. Maybe i'm biased because Ive been 15 for awhile and it took a lot to get there

 

But I could see the chit storm for lost mastery points for ps4 players if DE doesnt handle it right, if and when it happens

Ya....I won't consider ranking up past 8. Since there is just absolutely no point. Im rank 4 right now. I can do rank 5 test but I failed that today. So I can try again tomorrow.

I'm halfway to 17 and I'm fine with what I have.

+1 and MR15 as well, but there has to be more than just a shoulder sticker and star by our names; it's great as a bonus but not as a sole consolation. There should be true rewards for players that have actually experienced almost all of the available content. Some weapons need mastery lock rebalancing as well because more often than not I've heard "I have Soma/ Penta/ Boltor P/ Synapse/ Amprex, so I don't need higher mastery because they don't unlock further worthwhile content yet these people are always against locking certain weapons to mastery.

I didnt realise that mr effected the ammount of resource drones you could deploy, ive always been able to have 4 out, but yeah i wish it did more haha.

 

Like maybe some mr locked free skins for stuff or more slots, or maybe even a lore section in the codex that unlocks new bits with each rank.

Yep rank 10+ need to start getting stuff some stuff.

I don't even notice which weapon require rank ...I'm MR16 now , I had care about mastery requirement when Flux rifle was good , you know , I needed to be rank 6 to cut ennemies in multiple part , and rank 7 if you wanted to be dissapointed by Supra... but yea , any weapon that come right now , I don't even have to check requirement I have max rank ,just have to wait the 3 Days paywall in labs + the 12 or 24 Hour waiting for any weapon...

Your comment gave me the idea of having a reduction in build times depending on your mastery rank. It would help higher level players in getting their gear quicker and would add an actual incentive to playing the game. The thing about hiding some weapons behind a mastery rank wall is once you reach a certain level (around 6-8) going as far as you can in defense and survival (especially in the void) becomes part of the game. You need a good weapon to go for an hour on t3 or t4 survival. These weapons need to be available to lower rank players.

I've felt for quite some time that the MR need badges to commemorate the advancement. The badge slot only has one badge option and would be a good space to add badges for the MR designation (disciple, etc)

 

Allowing badges to be equipped on either side would also be a good option to have added into the game, imo.

please stop with your ranks, I've played more than 800 hrs, and I'm rank 9, I've also seen 200 hrs being rank 13 >

Ranks mean nothing, just your ability to grind for weapons you won't use

I'm rank 15 and against the idea of having a rank next to your name.  The reason being is that it will make it hard for lower level players to join matches in the recruitment channel.  That will cause a divide in the community. 

 

I'm also against have another extractor as a reward.  By rank 15, I do not have a problem with resources. 

 

Unique skins for weapons, unique cosmetics, those are good ideas, but they would have to be available in the market.  This is a "free" game after all.  DE has to make money, we all need to eat to live. 

 

I recommend slight bonuses to the Warframe.  It can be a melee/rifle/pistol damage increase; increased XP (good for when you forma a weapon); increased armor (say 5-10% at key levels); increased movement speed, increased chance for loot, etc.  It does not have to have the same effect for all frames either.  Different frames would get a different bonus at different MR. 

 

Yes it is a linear progression, but the changes only need to be minute so they are not game breaking.

Totally and unnecessary suggestion time;

 

So like, you know how you can go into the options and enable constant weapon trails?  Well like, only you can see those so it's not like they're obnoxious to others without reason.  Basically, what I'm thinking here is another toggle in the options called "Mastery Trails" which causes you to see fancy glowy energy trails behind yourself and all of your allies.  The length of the trail extends by a meter in length and stays for one second longer before vanishing with each gained rank.

 

Because laser light disco party.

 

Also, rainbow shifting color pallet unlocked at rank 15 since it's the halfway point.  Glitter sparkle color pallet unlocked at rank 30 to give DE time to code the glitter sparkle color pallet.

 

Serious wise;  They said, some time ago, that the Focus system would be tied to Mastery Rank.  Assuming that this statement will still hold true when that system comes to fruition, we'll have the leg up we're asking for.
