More Trade Slots

Lately I've been seeing more and more people getting scammed out of trades involving full prime weapon and prime warframe sets that involve more than 3 parts. These scammers take advantage of the 3 item trade system by seeking for new or/and unsuspecting players and ask for the platinum up front, then trade 1 or 3 of the 4 (or more) parts then run off with the rest of the untraded parts and the plat. Had 2 new players in my clan (ps4) get scammed this way and it very well could dampen/ruin the warframe experience for some especially since they probably just bought the platinum. Its like giving a guy who promises one thing $5, then runs off when he's only given you items worth $3.

 

Now most players know as a general rule if you have a limited trading system you only pay for what is being given to you. But these newer players or players who have had a long day and just want their Rhino Prime set without the hassel of farming it, dont think about that, and they really shouldnt have to.

 

This problem can be easily fixed by adding 2 more trade slots. I'm not aware of any prime warframe or weapon that would require more than 5 trade slots to trade a full set; so with 5 trades slots you could sell full frost prime (bp, chassis, helm, systems) or full fang prime (bp, 2 blades, 2 handles) all in one trade not having to worry about people scamming you as its all right up front. Not only does this help diminish scamming, it also gives the normal, non-scamming sellers more trades throught the day as normally it would take 2 trades to sell, say full ember prime.

 

Though more of a convenience factor, it also lets players who sell keys or Rare Fusion Cores in bulk also cut down on the amount of trades so they can sell more in one day. If a player has 20 keys to sell they'd only have to use 4 trades instead of 7 assuming each player wanted to buy 5 at once. Its kind of situational as not all the players would buy 5 at once but it could help in the long run of things.

 

Unless Digital Extremes made it 3 on purpose so people would buy from the market more instead of trade for full sets, I cant think of anything that increasing the trade amount would harm. It overall just helps trading until an official well thoughtout system is implemented; more trading, more convinience, less chances to scam.

People should learn to not put plat up front. Pay for only the parts, if you're getting 4 parts, pay 3/4 for the first trade then the final part for the remaining plat.

Sure, that's a work-around to this problem, but a better solution would be more trade slots, to avoid that causing the current trades per day quota from going out of whack give people 3x more trades per day, but make each item count as a trade. Allow people to trade as many items as they have trades left for the day.

That would cut down on those that use trading as a means to get plat without paying. If anything, just bump the slots up to 5 slots, that will give plenty of space for a full set and not hamper those that get plat this way.

Errm, I don't see how that would hamper anyone.
