Qt/r/auto Block

let me start out by saying I do not approve of these mods however. what is your reason for using these mods in conclave? I use them to for a specific reason.

My reason is: others are using it too.

I have to say i do not approve the use of these mods too, they are game breaking over powered and completely change the outcome of a PvP match. Needs to be balanced before the Dark Sectors PvP comes out. I sincerely hope that DE do something about it. But when Dark Sectors PvP comes out, hell yeah i'm gonna use every dirty trick in the game.

That being said... On the Conclaves, i use them only if we agree before the match.

I see you mentioned Rage on the title, i don't have any problem with that mod alone, only the infamous R+QT combo.

Never used them in conclave, I use rage by itself a lot to fuel my riplines though.

 

If I encounter someone using QT/R I'll just bail, I always just leave if I get matched with someone using dishonorable tactics.

I see lots of players coming here to say "no" or "no because its really cheap and lame.

 

 

however when i point out. I'm not using QT / Rage and or reflex guard ( aka auto block ) to the player using it and inform him its pretty cheap to use that I always get TONS of reasons why its ok to use it. here are some reasons I've been told.

 

1) I'm a loki. with very little hp / shields i get one shot very easy.

My reply: Valk with full hp / armor still gets 1 shot by most 3-5 forma weapons just as easy as you. its no excuse

 

2) others use it!

My reply: Do you see anyone in this conclave match with it on? nope! ok leave and take it off........

 

3) You are using "insert random excuse" so I'm going to use it !

My reply: you entered this match with it already on! how did you even know what items I was using?

( once I was told I was using a bow and its OP so they have to use QT+Rage+Autoblock LOLOLOLOLOL)

 

so thanks to those coming here to post they don't use it. I'm still waiting for someone with some kind of logical sence to come here and PLEASE try and defend why using QT + Rage or QT+R+Autoblock is ok to use when no one else is using it.

Don't try to argue with people who use dishonorable tactics, if they have no sense of sportsmanship or concept of fairness then it's useless to argue. You can use it again them, but then what is your excuse when you encounter someone who doesn't use it.

That's your opinion, i have lots of fun playing Warframe PvP.

Nah you just think that because you don't play PvP... These two mods, QT and Reflex Guard, are broken over powered, they are almost like cheating.

there are many people that find it fun and actually has a pretty steep learning curve to get good if people don't abuse those mods. give it a try, maybe you'll like it. 

 

but yeah, qt, reflex guard has got to be changed. if anything, they promote toxicity, especially towards players that try to go for fair builds.

I gave up playing on europa and pluto because of these mods. On Sedna, Phobos etc you have to make huge sacrifices if you want to use cheap combos, so I usually play there nowadays.

 

Dark Sector has huge potential but some mods needs to be balanced before they release it, otherwise pvp will be forever viewed as S#&$ when the masses try it. It works now because such a small % play conclaves, but it needs to be fixed before Dark Sector pvp, not after.

I agree, so many broken things that needs to be balanced before the Dark Sectors PvP comes out. Being QT and Reflex Guard just the tip of the iceberg.

 

Hysteria god-mode have to go (I hope that those upcoming Hysteria changes will balance her ability a little, and not just new animations), Bladestorm and Shuriken are too OP, and i'm telling this because Valkyr is my "main" and Ash is my second favorite!! (Oh the irony, the two most underrated PvE Warframes.) Explosives range is too big, black energy invisibility/smoke screen is cheating (we're supposed to see that predator-like effect even if its barely visible) I don't even have to say anything about QT and Reflex Guard.

 

No, it's not impossible to have a balanced PvP on Warframe. My fear is that DE are not gonna do anything, they will say its fine and release the Dark Sectors PvP anyway. >.>

 Europe region so dirty. So cheap. Also, I live in Europe. Best connection to hell.

 

   Sometimes I am using QT+R just to be on par but just can't make myself bring autoblock. Would rather quit WF for good, if it's all about equipment. PvP is the only thing still fun for me.

    

     If I join a game with fresh conclavers while QT+R equiped, I then leave, take it off and come back. Cannot be overstated how much joy you denie them if they think of you as "pro" and then get to kill you (but don't b/c of 2hp).

 

    Some of the things I stumble on a lot lately: black energy loki/ash with explosives, Hysteria teaming up with Absorb , 2 casters with ability spam after death. All abilities that can 1 shot with max strentgh - spam. All using QT+R+Autoblock.

 

   Lately, if I see a Penta or Ignis, and no reflex guard, I say fair fight lol. Or I just w8 for the night and go play in the US.

I tend to believe that players complain about them because they are an actual defensive mechanism that works, so their optimized 1 shot build not working makes them angry. 

 

I don't use them because 

A:) QT doesn't tend to do much in my experience if you have a low hp warframe. All of my warframes are low HP and I don't have a maxed vitality and vigor to boost them up. I probably wouldn't use it even then because I have personally been in a situation where it was literally impossible to kill this other person because he had qtr and blessing. Thats just silly.

B:) Autoblock is unreliable and inhibits your movement in multiple ways. I also don't own it.

if you've ever used autoblock, you'll actually have a better chance of killing the autoblock person with a 1 shot weapon. I don't see what you mean by inhibiting movement as you can move however you want. It's more about it being an invulnerable bullet shield with no drawbacks which is why players say it's unbalanced. 

 

throw in a qt AND autoblock and you get energy whenever someone fires at you without suffering any penalty. doesn't even need stamina to proc.

and when qt procs, you get a moment of invulnerability while staggered which can be easy to abuse. Only way to counter that is with  either a 1 shot weapon like a marelok or magnetic proc.

I've always rolled a abilityless Saryn without these mods, armed with a terrible Embolist. Nope, these things aren't for me. I don't expect my opponents to not use whatever advantage they have at their disposal, but I prefer to think that I'm somewhat above using tricks like these.

can still be knocked down. but replace vigor and redirection with knockdown resist mods and yur redy to troll. dont need the vigor and redirection as much when you already have an invulnerability shield.

yeah, wish de looks at conclave feedback at least once in a blue moon. some of the op mods can be easy to fix. just need to get their attention somehow.
