(PSN)KISSHD Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Hey just wondering but what happened to the cool Particle effects we saw in E3 2013 ps4 footage of Warframe? I mean was it because the system can't handle it (which i doubt) because i have seen other games like Infamous Second Son do it perfectly. I mean their is some particle effects but it isn't as amazing as what i saw at E3 Warframe PS4 Gameplay
darthdart Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Spoilers: E3 stuff is usually a lie or stuff made specifically to attract attention to said games. Just sayin.
CelticMoss Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Might have been scrapped after they seen fps dropped to low.
(PSN)Gage_VH Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 (edited) Spoilers: E3 stuff is usually a lie or stuff made specifically to attract attention to said games. Just sayin. Basically this Watch Dogs, Dark Souls II, Alien's Colonial Marines (To name some of the more recent cases of extreme fluffing) At least Dark Souls II was still good. (PSN)IIIDevoidIII Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Also, gameplay shown looked to be PC gameplay. Warframe uses Physx which the Playstation4 doesn't support without Nvidia. Particle affects are slowly making their way in, however, if you mentally compare the last few major updates.
Monolake Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Yeah, consoles have AMD hardware, and particle effects are made for NVidia hardware Physics.
(PSN)Octodog Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 (edited) Every time something explodes in game, throw confetti at the screen. Problem solved. Edited June 29, 2014 by (PS4)Octodog
