.Czern Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I was really amazed when Excalibur's Proto armor was added and I would love to see more alternate models of Warframes in the future (more personalization options is always a good thing). Are there any plans regarding this? [i feel that this sub-forum is the right place to ask the question, if not, please remove this topic]
Vunie Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 yeah there should be more like that and that would actually give alot of money to DE cuz alot of people would buy it
tveeggad Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Well, we have the immortal skins rolling in on a regular basis, but regarding the Proto Armor, I'd like to see more such skins with more opportunity for color customisation.
PsychedelicSnake Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I'd love to see more alternate skins. My wallet will handle it if I have to force it.
Mcl_Blue Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I'm not saying no, heck I'd like to see some myself, but the Proto Armor really isn't a good indication of where this could possibly go.

LoopStricken Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Well, the Proto-armour only came out because it already existed. It was literally just ported over from Dark Sector.
TwelfthAngel Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Maybe have alternate gender models?? Any one with me?!
SoulDust Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Looking at the huge mystery of lore wf has I'm sure they can manage to pump out a crap ton of alt designs.
(PSN)Hooligonzo Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 You know who could use an alternate design? Hydroid. He looks like a bloated bog body with some tentacles dripping from his face. I can't even color this guy well. My best color scheme for him is a sort of bronze-and-copper-with-verdigris theme, but he still has those chunky legs and that apron he stole from Oberon's closet.
Mcl_Blue Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 You know who could use an alternate design? Hydroid. I like the way you think.
(PSN)burakasral Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Maybe have alternate gender models?? Any one with me?! I am with you all the way. In a game where its all about customisation of your warframes you cannot even change your gender. This hugely bothers me. I think if the developers made gender selection possible many players will switch to male models and they'd see that it is a mistake forcing people play as female characters (i assume that players are at least %90 male if not more)
AlienOvermind Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Maybe have alternate gender models?? Any one with me?! I only want "alternate gender model" for Zephyr. And not some random generic atlernate model, but model designed after Zephyr original concept. I really like that male Zephyr especially compared to current female Zephyr, that is closer to some visual noise than to the refined space ninja.
shut Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Maybe have alternate gender models?? Any one with me?! I'd love the crap out of this, but the devs said no. It's an enormous amount of work for very little payoff. They said that in the distant future, they MIGHT consider simply adding in alternate-gender counterparts to the Frames with unique movesets of the same theme (e.g. "Snow" would appear in the game with her own set of ice-themed abilities, "Blaze" would reappear in the game with his own new set of fire-themed abilities, etc). If they ever do get to this, I think it would be absolutely awesome if the Frames had similar or identical base stats and could swap abilities with their alternate-gender counterparts as well. So Snow can use Frost's Avalanche instead of her hypothetical Blizzard, and Ember can use Blaze's hypothetical Eruption instead of World on Fire. - Brand-new frame that people want to try? Check. - Allowing players to maximize visual customization by selecting genders, for those who don't enjoy playing as the opposite gender? Check. - Creating endless new opportunities for gameplay customization by mixing and matching abilities, regardless of the user's stance on the gender issue? Check. The only real downside I can see to doing this is that creating a new set of abilities while preventing specific mix-and-match combos from being too strong or too weak is going to be a lot of work.
