Ability And Weapon Element Combinations And Innate Element Resistance

Hello, ill try and make this short

 

Id like to get the Element Resistance out of the way before i get to the fun part. This is not so much an idea, its more of a common sense that id like to see applied.

 

While using Frost, it doesn't make much sense that my shield takes a hit from Cold due to Cryogenics Core Malfunctions. With the same respect, Ember should not take any fire damage, whether its from an enemy or the environment. Same should apply to Volt with electricity damage, and so on.

 

 

Warframe ability and weapon element combinations:

 

Id like to walk inside a Snow Globe with Volt and cast Overload to create Magnetic damage to all enemies within the Snow Globe. Damage can depend on Power Strengths, Durations and such. If Ember were to cast Fire Blast inside a Snow Globe all enemies entering or within would get Blast Damage. 

An Amprex and Ignis firing in the same space or enemy would crate and deliver Radiation Damage.

 

I understand that the element combinations can only cater to a small number of weapons and frames, and that there are some weapons and frames which come with combined elements, but i would find it fun and look forward to teamwork against tougher enemies. 

...maybe some type of Cryo Weapon will be introduced down the line and fit right in with this concept.

I agree, but a lot of people don't. Had a thread like this awhile ago and people were like "JUST CAUSE YOU SHOOT IT OUT DOESN'T MEAN IT CAN'T HURT YOU" Pretty stupid honestly, at least some type of damage reduction. Like as volt you have electrical currents surging through you, yet a arc trap rapes your face. Or ember setting herself on fire on her fire, shooting out fire balls, yet a pile of fire on the ground HURTS SO MUCH.It's dumb. no logical reason to not at least have a reduction. It doesn't bother me, but people want to so heavily apply "common sense" to other subjects. So it should be on this.

Yea, regarding the element resistance, its not about the damage you take, it just looks wrong. I laugh when I go in a defense mission and my Frost shields are down due to cold. During game play, Ive heard people making fun of something similar happening to them. Most popular one being Ember taking damage from walking on fire.... while she's casting World On Fire.
