Question

Hello Fellow Tenno!

I am hoping that I may be able to have a bit of assistance with a melee weapon. I noticed that when it comes to weapons people either use Dragon Nikanas or Dual Ichors. However, as strong as those are I just don't like the style.

So my question to everyone is, how can I mod my Jat Kittag to do as much or more damage than either one of those? I have seen old videos about 'charging' and a video about someone being able to twirl their hammer around while just hitting the 'e' key. I assume all of that is gone and the system is completely different but I want to be able to make my hammer go from a Jet Kitty to King Dedede with damage.

Any help is appreciated.

And use rare hammer stance (crushing ruin?) - nothing is more funny than sending mobs flying into the stratosphere. Bonus point if you take Tigris and do some trap-shooting.

I'm sorry to say that the Jat Kittag will never be as powerful as a well-modded Dual Ichor, Dragon Nikana, or Dakra Prime.

However, you can make the Jat Kittag a very powerful weapon, and more importantly, a fun one. The most important element in making the Jat Kittag a hilariously fun spin2winner is obtaining the stance mod Crushing Ruin. If you want to farm for it or buy it from someone on the Trading channel, that's up to you, but to really make it shine that's the mod you're going to need. One of its combos allows you to perform the same basic twirling animation as the old charge attacks, which is what you'll want to abuse.

The rest of the mods follow a pretty basic formula. The Jat Kittag has poor crit chance, so you may as well forgo Berserker or any crit mods in favor of elemental + channeling damage.

Start with the basic Pressure Point + Fury + Spoiled Strike. Add the elemental mods you want, depending on the faction. Then, slap on Killing Blow and Corrupt Charge if you plan to channel. Any extra mods are for flavor. Have fun!

I made sure that Crushing Ruin was the first thing I got for it. I couldn't resist enemies flying all over like my kogake. My only problem was the appropriate mods to go on it.

If you already have Crushing Ruin, it comes down to the same damage standard most other weapons have. Pressure Point + Fury + Spoiled Strike, Elemental damage of your choice, and Channeling mods if you like 'em.

The Jat Kittag has a great proc chance so I'd use event mods on it if you can.

The two things that Jat Kittag has over some of the higher-DPS weapons is the insane ragdoll effect and a really solid status chance. Also it's still wicked fun.

What elements would you recommend? I heard blast was good. I used it for awhile and it seemed good but at higher levels felt lacking against grinner and sometimes in void.

Blast for fun, otherwise whatever elements are good for that faction, I usually run blast+corrosive with 70% status from the dual stat mods.

Currently what I have is:

Pressure Point(max)-Spoiled Strike(max)-Heavy Trauma(4)-Fury(max)

North Wind(max)-Volcanic Edge(max)-Shocking Touch(0)-Reach(max)

Well first off max that heavy trauma, with a stance with a matching polarity and two bonus polarities, there's no reason not to.

And also I'd recommend nearly anything other then shocking touch, if you really want to keep that electricity and you can't get a hold of voltaic strike, at least get focus energy. Same 60%, but costs less mod points and comes with some channeling efficiency.

Edit: Also max whatever you replace it with lol.

I know voltaic would be expensive because I can't get it anymore. So I have no idea what I could replace shocking touch with. Would life strike actually be a good substitute if I don't use channeling much?
