KirukaChan Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 As it stands, perma-invisible Loki is a thing, and he basically makes any mission other than Interception and Defense (and possibly Survival) a joke. The only things that are a danger to him besides his own ability timer are Arc Traps and energy leech doors/Eximus units. The simple way to improve its balance (not necessarily balance it overall, but a step in the right direction) would be to make it a toggled ability like Nyx's Absorb. This way, you actually have to think about when to use it rather than just keeping it on for the whole mission. Even with Siphon, you still can't recover your energy while a toggled ability is on. On the flip side, it'll also help keep gameplay more fluid; as it stands, the ability gets to decide when it's going to end, rather then your energy pool. This can lead to standing around waiting for it to end (for example, before going up/down an elevator) so that you don't get caught with your pants down when there's an Ancient Disruptor waiting at the other side of the door to slap you in the face. Loki would still be a solid frame, but this change would actually give players a reason to not be invisible literally all the time.

SoulDust Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 A lot of people don't use loki that way. I personally have a max eff build so i can spam disarm's. If heat comes I can spam invis for 5 secs at a time. Staying invsi for 30 seconds is boring gameplay.

I even had space to throw on Overextended for Disarm spam, but I've still got enough Duration mods on there to offset max Fleeting that by the time Invisibility ends, I've recovered the energy I've lost.

With my Loki Prime (flow 525 energy, narrow minded 9, continuity, streamline) i can spam invisibility 15 times for 26,4 seconds. That's 396 seconds (more than 6 minutes)! If they make invisibility toggleable with consumption rate 5 energy per second and activation cost 25 energy, it will be "only" 100 seconds without streamline and 145 seconds with streamline. BTW: Nyx have 25 activation cost and 7 energy per second...Banshee have 25 activation cost and 12 energy per second Edited June 30, 2014 by Kialandi
