Paul_Pianoff
Hello everyone! (Skip this bit if you're too lazy to read this.) Let me tell you a little story... So, a couple o' weeks ago DE showed off these awesome claw animations, which got me hyped in an instant. Two weeks later, while farming for XP as usual, a wild redtext appears in the chat window, introducing the VENKA, Tenno claw melee weapon! Four days later (four because at the moment of release no officers were online in our clan), Venka finished researching, and I went to get it and build it. The next day, I tried it out. I was disappointed. Venka needs a serious buff. (Actual feedback starts here!) Why should it be buffed? 1. It's a clantech weapon with a requirement of a Forma and a mastery rank of 7. You would expect something more powerful, don't you agree? 2. It doesn't feel like a pair of claws. While I think that Malicious Raptor is a f@#ing awesome stance, and it does make the weapon a bit faster due to multihits in combos, it is still too slow. Claws are supposed to make you feel like a crazed psycho, allow you to tear everything to shreds. How should it be buffed? Solution №1: 1. As stated above, speed increase. This weapon is too slow for the amount of damage it does. My suggestion would be to crank the speed up to 1.2, it will make it fast in a non-ridiculous way, as it should be. 2. Crit chance increase. This will flow nicely with the weapon's suggested attack speed and it's low damage. It will also make Berserker a perfect fit for this weapon - you will actually feel berserk! 3. Crit multiplier increase to encourage crit builds. These changes will allow Venka to compete with the king of crits, Dual Ichor, which, by the way, is also a clantech weapon. Solution №2: Like Nikana, let us give our Venkas (Venkae? Venki?) Dragon love. Boost the damage, crit chance, crit multiplier, speed, aka make it a better weapon overall. I would gladly run around showing off my badass Dragon Venka. Please leave feedback about my feedback (wut). Thanks for taking your time to read this! Kelkha
Totally support it, waited almost 4 days to get it, and just to be disappointed with such low damage output and speed, i like the looks of it tho, nothing against it. And i'm also for the Dragon love!
PrimedWrath
Yeah, seriously this guy actually has a good point. You should put this for the next update.
TheErebus.
Finally. Someone who puts in some feedback for the venka that is both reasonable and well put. +1 to you phantom. Also i want the dragon venka. NOW.

GrayFox
That last part about having the Dragon love might probably the most possible one to happen. Might even be a surprise this upcoming U14 - - ,

RawGritz
yea I think there will be a Dragon or Prime version real soon. Maybe even a Vandal version if they is an event around it maybe...
MDRLOz
Prova, Dera, supra, torid Just add it to the list of clan tech weapons that don't really impress for the effort required to build them.
TheErebus.
Prova, Dera, supra, torid Just add it to the list of clan tech weapons that don't really impress for the effort required to build them. Actually the dera is incredibly powerful thanks to the pin-point accuracy. Plus with the right mods put it in, it's a force to be reckoned with. LoopStricken
If you ask me, it needs a bit of AoE. It's a slashing claw, not a piercing one. Slashes require a wide arc.
(PSN)Abyss_666
I completely agree with the suggested changes I'm on ps4 so I didn't get my hands on it yet (no pun intended) but it seems mediocre especially with that rank 7 requirement (didn't even catch that my lord). now DE most of the time knows what they do they either build weapons with interesting mechanics, real power weapons or weapons that are good for mid-tier (giving something new to beginners). Now, with the high mastery rank in mind we can all agree it's not supposed to be the later but I don't think they'd purposely make the venka mediocre especially after all the hype. Now I'm pretty sure there will be an upgrade version of this eventually. If it doesn't however, these suttle changes should make them really powerful in their own right. 1. Add 10% crit chance bumping them up to 25% to compete with the dual ichor 2.increase the crit multiplier to 3.0 (same as ichor and zorens) or even higher These 2 changes could even be done or even further improved by the malicious raptor stance. It looks like it is one of the rarer stances so a stat update like this sounds reasonable after all it happened before with the crimson dervish increasing the crit chance will solve the speed problem many of you mentioned aswell since it makes berserker viable

Vaskadar
The same can be said of the Supra. Mastery rank 7, but less powerful than the Soma.
azmyth1
Mastery Rank 7 + forma to craft means it's a garbage weapon. Didn't you get the memo? The Venka have been very underwhelming. I agree with speeding them up and giving them a crit build. They should at least be on par with the Dual Ichor, given their cost.
LocoWithGun
After using it some more... yeah, it feels way too slow. Like you're in slow motion. The quick attack in particular looks like the frame takes a while to think after each strike. I don't really care about damage or crit that much. But it needs to be faster, not just to buff it, but to make it more fun to use. Edited June 30, 2014 by LocoWithGun
Primed_SuperNova
and the base slash damage is soo pathetically low for such a weapon...claws( mastery rank 7 to craft ) with 37 base damage? i hope they buff it up abit
__Kanade__
Currently, the Venka is mastery fodder. It doesn't deserve the right to demand a forma to craft it.
Hurcheon
As long as DE rarely change weapons' stats I think Dragon Venka or something would be the best solution. Seriously - it's rank 7... Give us a couple of good high-end weapons to choose from.

I do agree that it would be nice if it had a polarity slot for being a clan tech that requires a forma. 2. You can of course mod it, that's what mods are for. How should it be buffed? 1. Fury and Berserker build would take you to 1.5 speed for periods of time. 2. You can up that with True Steel for more of an opportunity to hit Berserker speeds. 3. You can up that with Organ Shatter. Malicious Raptor has a 100% Bleed proc within one of the attacks and also reduces stamina requirements. I do see that it would be interesting to make it basically just like the Dual Ichor, but, no wait...why would we want it just like another weapon? Maybe it would be better to balance the stats on both weapons, so that one isn't both fast and have high crit chance. Maybe this is also DE's way of testing out status effects being added within the properties of stance attacks?
Drache
There no need for 1.2 atk speed, 1.1 is just eno....mastery 7?! WTF? It should be 4!GODthat it, or buff to a mastery 7 weapon, or do a little buff to be a useful mastery 4now, about the Dragon Venka, I will do a scar saying “@(*()$ LOVE JUSTIN BIEBER” if DE don’t make it right after UP14.…………………………………………or notbut I have a better idea about Dragon Venka: why just a “dragon” version?check it out:https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/253944-tiger-venka-and-crane-nikana/#entry2938189
