Why Are Kubrows More Important Than Fixing The Core Gameplay Elements Of Warframe?

This is probably the biggest problem I have with kubrows. Don't get me wrong they're cute as hell and they look relatively entertaining, but after two (two!) devstreams essentially hyping how much work got put into kubrows and how in-depth they are, it makes me a little angry that we still have a market full of wildly-priced items, broken endgame scaling, useless weapons and unbalanced frame abilities, and overall lackluster recent additions.

But hey, space dogs.

A lot of what ppl say is broken are things the DE refuses to compromise on at this point because that's how they want the game to be played. Other real problem like new player issues and immersion are being fixed with this update.

New players not knowing how to play because of lack of instruction: issue

Rng, build times, I don't want pets: preferences

Kubrow Team does not represent the full development effort, it's just one of the first 'new' things in a bit so it does have a lot of us excited, but we understand it's not for everyone.

Simultaneous development is occurring on (but not limited to by any means, just examples):

- Complete navigation/UI overhaul (https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/253837-lets-meet-pablo-and-dorian/).

- New 'New Player Experience' to address longstanding issues with our NPE.

- Quest System fundamentals - the understanding here is that this will allow for systemic quests with more meaningful gameplay (https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/249863-thank-you-for-watching-devstream-31/).

- New Mission Types polishing and testing (https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/249909-hive-sabotage-design-and-overview/).

- Dark Sector conflict Revamp/Improvements.

- Reworking Valkyr's Hysteria

And plenty more! There is definitely a lot to be worked on, and a lot of compelling feedback on things like Mods 2.0, Ammo 2.0 and more! We definitely still have our work cut out for us.

The press-button to win.  Is always going to be a thing.   Even with upcoming power reworks that will start back up after update 14 goes live.   But even then, I could pressing the Fire button for my gun or my melee key to "Win" me through missions just as easily.     People will always find a way to insta clear a room.     Many games if not all to some degree has issues like this. and all handle them differently.

But saying that the Push-button to win is breaking the game.  is harsh and not true.  Its how people have decided to play the game.   It many situtations you need that, else your going to be swarmed..  other times yes its over kill.    But it all comes down to how a individual and/or group appoarches the missions.

i understand that DE needs to keep developing and releasing new content.

But what i dont understand is how they cant fix or update content that should have been fixed ages ago for example

Why cant i buy more than 1 thing in the market in one or two clicks? instead of having to click 60 times to buy 30 of something?

Why cant my dojo contributions be recorded so my clan leader can see what ive contributed to the clan?

Etc Etc Etc...

IMO all this fluff should only be added after basic things have been completed.

I'm assuming by "press button to win" stuff, you're referring to many warframes ultimates? I.E. Rhino Stomp, Molecular Prime(Which has been tweaked and works a bit better now), Blessing even? That is...rather honestly how they are to be played. Admittedly there are still warframes that need work, need balancing and ect so they are on a sorta equal level of effectiveness. Loki and Mag are starter frames, and a couple of the best frames in the game to be honest, Excalibur on the other hand, the freaking Icon warframe, is...not that great compared to the other two.

I wasn't aware asking a question out of concern for the quality of the game was whining.

The way you worded it sounded like whining to be honest. Instead why not say "Hey, We have Kubrow's coming soon, but what about X, Y, Z, things that are still broken? Conclaves are still imbalanced, half of our melee weapons are mastery fodder, ect."

A lot of what ppl say is broken are things the DE refuses to compromise on at this point because that's how they want the game to be played. Other real problem like new player issues and immersion are being fixed with this update.

To be fair, RNG can be a evil, EVIL, bastard at times. Seriously, 15 runs on vay hek, no hydroid systems?! It stops being "Random Number Generation" after the 8th time in a ROW and just "Frak you, you aren't getting what you need to get hydroid."

Also there is this. Rebecca brings up a point not many realize when it comes to game developement. They only show what they WANT to show. Sure on the back end there are other things being worked on, but DE keeps it quiet until it's actually READY. Look at Melee 2.0. The original idea was to simply let players equip their melee weapon, that was it, nothing more. How ever hype got so up about it, that they changed their plan and made it something awesome. I mention this because they said they were working on a melee 2.0, and then it started the hype train which had them change plans. If they do this with other things, it may also occur "Oh, we are changing the mod system." Which could mean something as simple as rebalancing the mods, to a completely new way to put mods on our weapons, to even having different weapons/warframes having different amounts of slots.

just stop whining so much and have fun playing your stuff, god, i have been playing for nearly a year and i don t whine as much man

You also got to remember people that are happy generally don't complain so it's largely just a negative bias.

It's not breaking the game, but it doesn't leave much room for dynamic gameplay.

Yet another UI, scary tentacle lady. And it's looking like everything i wanted for christmas, by the way.

Oh, and aren't you calling "Experience" and abreviating it with an X? So the New Player Experience would be a NPX?
