Authenticator?

I hope DE considers a authenticator sooner rather than later with the all the stuff that is tradeable now (including plat). I know people will say "Don't get hacked bro!" but whatever. I still like them....Maybe something in the pipeline DE?

I wouldn't mind a mobile app. Blizzard's one is brilliant. Simple, effective. But maybe have it a liiiiittle bit easier to recover your account.

Well not that extra security is a bad thing but would hacking even be profitable in this game? With trades being limited by rank and if suspicious activity is reported to DE, I'm sure it would be easy to track down offending accounts as well as recover what is lost. DE has one of the best support teams I've ever witnessed.  I feel like the risks to hack would be unreasonable and a lot more effort than it is worth to even bother doing so.  But as always for anything you can stay away from sketchy websites and not enter sensitive information anywhere except official sites.

DE support would more than likely add any missing items back to your account if you were to be hacked upon request. They aren't a company like Jagex who effectively say "tough S#&$, don't get hacked."

Ah yes, Jagex. 

 

That is probably one of the reasons I stopped playing Runescape (and the fact that 90% of the content requires the player to pay a subscription to access, as well as a very high percentage of toxic players).

Nevertheless, I like the piece of mind. Even it isn't the end all be all of security...I use it on practically anything that offers it.
