Infested Trap.

The Grineer got an arc trap, the Corpus got security cam/laser fence.

So... What about the Infested trap?

I wish the Infested got it own trap too, something like a small tumour hidden in a technocyte patch thingy.

It will activated when someone stepping on it, releasing a sticky substance slowing down and disable jumping for a short period

or releasing a small area, low damage but high proc chance virus cloud.

Is this sounds like good idea? (lol, moar trap)

Well in the last devstream we found out that we are getting an infested trap enemy.

Its going to be similar to floor masters in TLoZ (except wall) that is going to grab you, then when caught it will drop you randomly somewhere in the map, separating you from the group.

That sounds cool, but I don't think that'd actually work well.

I mean, where would it put you that's tactically significant?

Separation from the group hardly means anything in Warframe.

Being teleported is just going to be a casual annoyance, like what Commanders already do (minus the compulsory confusion and the torso-stretching, hopefully).

Since we know too little about the boss encounter that's being developed it's a bit early to decide if it's "tactically significant" or not. Also the possible consequenses include not only the significance for the player that gets separated (having to make his/her way back), but also for the players remaining in the encounter (losing a part of the squad for a time). Fact remains that depending on level and load-out it's potentially fatal to be separated from your team-mates and swarmed by infested, especially with all those poison clouds...

See, I love the idea of more traps to raise awareness, but I will point you to the current thread about arc traps and how people can get rather whiny when the game is too hard for them.

Therefore, sadly, the chances this gets through are pretty slim.
