Crowd Control-Based Shotgun That Fires Spheres Of Electricity That Link Together.

I think it would be fun to have a shotgun that fires a slow moving electrical sphere that sticks around for a while, much like the Mutalist Quanta's alternate fire. (Probably with a much longer duration.)
The sphere damages enemies on contact, and will explode in a small radius when its duration is up.

Up to 6 Electrical spheres can be released at once, firing more will replace the earliest fired projectiles (replaced projectiles also explode).

Projectiles do not bounce, they stop moving after hitting a surface or an enemy, and cannot be moved by hitting them with melee.

Spheres within range of eachother, (about 10~ meters max?), will create an electrical link between them that deals 50% of the weapon's damage to enemies who contact the link, with 100% Electrical proc chance.

Each individual sphere can only be directly linked to 2 other spheres at a time, and cannot link to a sphere that is linked to one it is already linked to.

Example:

NOTE: That is definitely not what the gun would look like.

It would be neat if spheres from other players could also link up with yours.

Approximate stats:

Weapon Type: Shotgun

Base damage (direct hit): 160 Electrical

Link damage: 50% of total weapon damage after mods, in the form of Electrical damage.

Explosion damage: 50~100 Electrical (3~5m radius.)

Crit Chance: 5%
Crit Damage: 2.0x

Status Chance: 25% (100% Link.)

Firing Rate: 2.5 (Semi-auto.)

Pellet count: 1

Magazine Size: 6

Reload: 2s

The weapon's playstyle would be that of a crowd control role, creating literal electrical fences to keep incoming enemies from advancing.

As the spheres replace older ones as they're fired, (assuming you have the maximum amount out), and explode when they're replaced, the weapon could be used as a continuous stream of small Electrical AOE explosions.

Also, firing two projectiles past either side of an oncoming crowd of enemies would create a sort of flying clothesline of electricity, effectively stunning and damaging them.

You're being spammy. Stop. Until DE comes up with a proper statement sit the frack down and shut up. The game is not dead until DE confirms it. I suggest you look up Schrodinger's Cat to understand what I mean.

+1 for schrodinger's cat

Also, love the weapon idea
