thegamer118 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 wouldn t it be pretty neat(well not neat but yeah) to have women corpus and female infested, because that would balance the game a little since the gineer have at least 3(4 if we count the corrupted version) types of woman grineer, the scorpion, the sniper one and the heavy unit one (there s also the 3 queens as said in the lore but heh) so what do you think guys, that would make a good opportunity for well thought new characters in my opinion 1
Hixlysss Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Infested are basically a fungus, so they wouldn't be fully female persay, but having a more feminine build due to having infested say...a scorpion would be nice. And yes to the female corpus, please. More gender diverse enemies please! Honestly, I'd prefer it if DE went ahead and just made "reskins" of the enemies as female variants. 1
McVolker Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 What we know of the Corpus culture goes against any form of female workers. They are merely breeding instruments to the Corpus. Infested are deformed beyond recognition, no need for females there.
(PSN)andre54321 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Balance the game? Are you kidding me right now wtf. I honestly can't think of anything that could be more useless for them to waste their time on atm. Other than this game possibly being destroyed by PWE. Sorry if I seem like a #$&(%, but this is literally useless at this moment in time. Maybe in the future when this game is out of beta and the developers are bored.
thegamer118 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 infested NEED female, since the parasite infest bodies, it means the women bodies too 1

10twenty4 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 If you haven't noticed, the corpus are all wearing bulky space suits, while the infested are covered in zombie cancer. Who's to say there aren't any females among them?
ValhaHazred Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 If you haven't noticed, the corpus are all wearing bulky space suits, while the infested are covered in zombie cancer. Who's to say there aren't any females among them? Indeed. All we need is a feminine face for under the helmet and randomize it.

Who's to say there aren't any females among them? headshot the corpus to blow away their mask will tell you that there isnt any women corpus, and female infested STILL should look a little different, because the woman grineer are different enough to see 1

RespectTheInternet Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 infested NEED female, since the parasite infest bodies, it means the women bodies too The technocytes have no gender, it doesn't matter if what they ate before had a gender since it's all transformed into bio-matter. That's not to say there can't BE female shaped infested, but that sort of reasoning is faulty.
Archistopheles Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Fun fact: The chances of anyone (including myself) dropping to the floor and dying are higher than this being implemented. The "Santa isn't real" forum post is an interesting tool in a forumer's kit, but it's kinda like the boomerang - it'll come back and smack you in the face too.
Katinka Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Pretty sure there's two queens. Twin queens not triplet queens. There's also Kela De Thaym. Although, she does use the same basic model as the other Grineer women with a few unique bits attached. It'd be nice if there was a few more ladies in the non-Tenno forces. 1
ouch67 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Did it occur to anyone that maybe the infested are simply not interested in contracting cooties and hence, only infest males? :P
Dr.Evergreen Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Actually I hope someday I can meet a female stalker.
MDRLOz Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) Ok people seem to be getting hung up on the infested option. This is interesting but a pipe dream in my opinion. Female corpus however is something DE really need to get on with implementing. It really is getting to silly levels. Edited July 3, 2014 by MDRLOz
Archistopheles Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Actually I hope someday I can meet a female stalker. They're not as fun as they sound. They mostly dig through your trash and threaten your other female friends.
Brimir Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Why exactly do we need female Corpus again..? The Corpus we fight are part of either some kind of deep-space engineering corps or security forces which are most likely high-risk, high-pay occupations. Such professions are male-dominated because we don't accept women risking their lives for their families; that is a "male privilege". It has nothing to do with sexism and we don't need female Corpus members thrown in as cannon fodder to meet some kind of "equality quota". Female Corpus most likely exist in the canon, but they do not work at such hazardous occupations. They'll most likely run businesses at the Corpus homeworld or somesuch. There's no need to introduce them into the game as enemies. As for Infested; how do you sex an Infested Charger...?
Psroij Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Someday this hysteria over "sexism" because there are not enough women models represented in some capacity in a game will finally blow over. Hopefully that will happen before people effectively destroy the gaming industry by constantly demanding things they will never be happy with from developers, instead of letting developers fix and polish real issues in their games. DE already has enough trouble actually fixing what needs to be fixed, it is no way necessary that there be "equal representation" among the millions of mooks that players destroy every day. Besides, I can already see it now, in the future somehow there is one extra female mook model that is available to the Tenno slaughter than there are male mook models and suddenly cries of misogyny start echoing through the community halls. A developer cannot win with people who make "requests" like this, so it is best to ignore them.
DuWryght Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Last thing I need is Independant Corpus women talking about "I don't need no man." ...and Infested woman mounting me...o_O 1
Tali Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Who said the infested had a gender? Aercascade Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) It's a sausage fest as far as the corpus are concerned. I want some badass, evil @$$ corpus lady to kick tenno @$$. I'm not complaining about the amount of males... although there ain't much to see with them. Would be nice to see a lady face under that mask before I chop her up into pieces and potentially kill a mother of a family out trying to make a living. I think as far as profit is involved it doesn't matter if a lady corpus can make the profit I think that's smiles all around. Edited July 3, 2014 by Sutherland
