what are the melee weapons you guys have the most fun with, I dont care if damage wise its terrible

venka is surprisingly fun

but i will never get tired of glaive

+ Orthos, sweet animation & powerful too

I have tons of fun with my Dragon Nikana, but that goes without saying. Other than that I have a blast with Bo/Bo Prime, Glaive, and Dual Skana.

I will list some of my most used weapons and say why.

 

Bo Prime

Staffs are pretty decent weapons, and Bo Prime is arguably the best among them. Even though its polarity matches with Flailing Branch, I find Clashing Forest stance to be much more fun, but also easier to use. Ease of usage makes this versatile weapon much more enjoyable I think. Besides, it looks quite cool.

 

Scoliac

If you use Coiling Viper with this weapon, it's quite deadly. Not only is the weapon fast, it also has decent reach (sometimes tricky if you're too close to enemies), but most importantly, it has great mobility. Coiling Viper's second combo is really easy to perform and allows you to jump around with it while still attacking.

 

The first "jump" in the combo can also deal headshots, so that's very useful. With some practice, you can also manage to use the delays between each attack to reposition yourself (need to do that fast) and continue the combo string. If you're able to do slides between the jumps of its combo, you have even more mobility.

Same with any hand and fist weapons (I prefer the Obex)

This. I giggled like a schoolgirl while slide attacking everything that got near me, it was so fun.

Lecta on Valkyr (somehow seems to suit her perfectly...). Especially with the Coiling Viper stance.

 

Ether Reaper with Reaping Spiral - probably less effective than Stalking Fan (which I don't have) but the animations are great.

 

Orthos + Shimmering Blight = mobile blender for infested.

 

Glaive for its basic charge-throw attack (silent ranged kills on demand) - love the 'catch' animation on return.

 

Honorable mention for the Amphis for sending enemies flying (irc - unfortunately don''t have it anymore).

Obex/Kogake with Brutal tide

Any of the Axes with any of the Stances

Shattering Storm and a Jat Kittag(Reach build that s#@!, son)

Single daggers for stealthing around, either stance

and Orthos/Orthos Prime because nothing beats running into a crowd and dismembering everything before you can blink

I find Valkyr herself to be a fun melee weapon.

Hysteria: Main weapon

Warcry: That extra attack speed

Paralysis: Stun enemies and open up finishers. Also gives time to activate Hysteria again.

Rip Line: "Get over here!" + Rag Doll + Finisher Opener

 

Equip her w/ Dual Ichors, and she'll be a great weapon.
