Warframe Idea: Rabbit

I'm sure this concept as been discussed before, so I apologize in advance if it has.  On the way home today I thought about what idea of a warframe hasn't been looked at yet and something came to mind- movement.  Not just running fast, but the ability to get around the map at insane speeds.  Everytime I go online and play with others I see them power sliding all over the place in order to keep their speed up, attacking the air once in a while for a quick speed boost.  What if we had a frame specifically designed for movement?

Introducing the smallest, yet fastest frame- the Rabbit.  The rabbit is the shortest frame in the game, being a head shorter than the next shortest frame.  She's also quite frail, having low health and armor (with only decent shields and power).  Where she shines is her speed and stamina.  The Rabbit has the fastest speed of any frame.

Rabbit's abilities are about movement and speeding a mission up in various ways.  The first ability is Rocket Jump.  Rabbit launches herself into the air in the direction the player wants to go (or straight up if no button other than 1 is pressed).  The jump has an explosion under Rabbit's feet that damages enemies nearby with Blast damage.  All of Rabbit's abilities can be used in the air, and this ability is no different.  She can use Rocket Jump in the air to give her a double, triple, or even quadruple jump.  Rocket Jump is spammable, so as long as you have enough energy to pay the 10 points needed for ability each time it's used Rabbit can continuously jump through the air.   Her jump strength is based on her ability power, and is half as effective in the air.  Mods that increase ability power affect Rocket Jump, and it affects both her jump strength and the damage dealt by the explosion at her feet.

Her second ability can be considered both a move on its own and a combo finisher for Rocket Jump- Leap.  When used, Leap launches Rabbit forward and knocks an enemy down for high damage.  When used on the ground Rabbit jumps forward, but when used in the air Rabbit curls into a cannonball and continues her descent.  Anything hit by her take serious impact damage and is knocked down.  The move has excellent horizontal distance when used on the ground and is great for blowing away enemies where you intend to land if used in the air.  If the enemy is killed by Leap, Rabbit doesn't lose momentum and is able to continue at the speed she was at before Leap was used.  Leap has a small aoe range that can knock down multiple enemies and can be increased with Power Range mods.  Damage dealt is increased by Power Damage mods. This ablity costs 50 points before mods.

The third ability is Scavenge.  When used, Rabbit gains a buff that lets her share any items she picks up with her allies.  This includes ammo, health/energy/affinity orbs, resources, mods, and blueprints.  When Rabbit picks an item up, the item is considered picked up for all players too- They won't have to go looking for any mods they might've missed, Rabbit got it for them.  Ammo and orbs are shared immediately with the team (regardless of where team members are), but resources, mods, and blueprints are shared at the end of the mission.  If Rabbit leaves the mission before it finishes but after using Scavenge, any item she picked up will still be distributed to her allies at the end of the mission.  Rabbit cannot pick up ammo/orbs if no one on the team needs them. In other words, if everyone is at max health, she can't pick up health orbs.  If one person is hurt, she can, and it'll heal the hurt player no matter where they are on the map.  If no one uses rifle ammo, then she doesn't pick up rifle ammo.  In terms of mutation mods, only the mods on the Rabbit picking items up will affect what ammo will be picked up.  This ability is, to be honest, useless in solo mode unless you do invasion missions.  Friendly AIs will gain health points when Rabbit picks up a health orb after Scavenge was used, but other than distributing items to allies the ability does nothing else.  This ability is affected by Power Duration mods.  This ability costs 50 points before mods.

Her ultimate ability is Panicked Cry.  Rabbit lets out a frightened yelp and buffs herself and allies within a certain range.  Anyone affected by it have increased run/sprint speed, jump height, falling speed, weapon reload speed, and weapon switch speed.  This ability is affected by Power Duration and Power Range mods.  This ability costs 100 points before mods.

In summary, Rabbit is designed around speeding a mission up for allies and herself.  She's capable of getting through the map as fast as possible, can backtrack to pick up lost items for allies so they don't slow their advance down or have to leave the defense point for any mods that might've dropped, and can rush everyone near her to make them insanely fast both in attacking and in moving.  Alone she's difficult to hit and works best with hit-and-run tactics by jumping into a group, launching herself, firing back at the enemies while they're on the ground before dive bombing and finishing off any survivors.  In groups she's a valuable looter who can halve the time it takes to do missions.

you do realize DE prefers to go against rushing gameplay not encourage it right?

Considering I started the game about a week ago?  No.  I just figured because every person I've seen thus far in online missions rushes through it as quickly as possible it was an acceptable practice. :(

well it is something that a lot of players do its not what DE wants for the game they just haven't nailed down something that gives players a reason to slow down or separate them from those who prefer to go slower

What about making it so sliding/coptering doesn't increase your movement speed?

I guess this isn't the place to talk about it.  Either way, because there's a solo mode I'm thinking it should be something we embrace.  I personally don't like sliding around and missing all my spin attacks like an idiot, but having a warframe designed around high speed movement and running circles around the enemy would be fun.  Like I said, the idea was to help people speed missions up.  Even in defense and survival, a Rabbit on the team would help with defenses because players no longer have to go hunting for dropped mods.  They can stay together and sweep the map while the Rabbit runs scouting missions, killing stray enemies off in style and picking up loot to help keep the party strong.

your frame concept is interesting with its team buffs and support role however your concepts 1st and second powers are extremely similar to zephyrs tailwind and divebomb the third power seems like it could use some tweaking it dosent make any logical sense how the frame could teleport things to other players in that way maybe they could drag all the loot to there location from a certain range giving a kind of tactical ammo cache that the team can run over however this could lead to some trolling behaviors and the 4th power seems useful and its nice that it isn't a press 4 to kill everything power that we have too much of as is working in buffs is a nice change

as for the removal of coptering and slide speed its something DE has tried before in smaller ways like the previous stamina nerf it dosent serve anything other than to annoy players when they don't have a desire to linger in the mission and hinder the faster gameplay that warframe is known for instead they would need to give players a reason to be in the mission and take there time something to promote exploration or stealth gamepley

Hm, I understand the third ability seeming odd.  It was more to give Rabbit some group support because her damage is only so-so and her defenses are really poor.  As for the first and second ability, aren't there a few abilities that are similar to each other?  Rhino's charge and Excalibur's Slash Dash, for one.   In fact, Excalibur's Super Jump is somewhat similar to Zephyr's Tail Wind, correct?  Divebomb and Leap are different though- Divebomb drops you directly down, Leap just turns you into a giant projectile for whichever direction you're moving.   I had thought of using some sort of flash bomb instead of Leap, but I wanted to stay with the rabbit theme.  I suppose I still need to think about this more, but if DE doesn't want to speed missions up I guess I can scrap the whole frame for something else.
