Carrier Vacuum Bug

I seem to have a problem with my Carrier sentinel using the Vacuum mod after taking damage. Most times as soon as I stop taking fire, the mod kicks up again and starts sucking stuff in, but there have been times where after taking damage my Carrier will no longer suck in any loot or resources for the rest of the mission. Please help.
