Could We Please Remove Prosecutors?

they are running ceres! now i don't care if i can get all elements on my weapons, it makes my weapons god damn useless on anything but one type of enemy, and also, who came up with the horrible idea to make their aura cover bosses too? i just did a run of the ceres boss and i couldn't damage him because of some prosecutor that i couldn't kill, they are really ridiculous and OP as hell, with their aura that turns all enemies around them to invincible, and no i will not take other elements, what if people want to level a weapon so they only take 2 weapons like i did? well f those people, they can play on other planets, 

 

just please, remove them or change those mechanics

Play Ember/Ember Prime and use her debuff, or use a crit weapon. The debuff makes them all weak to fire. Critical hits seem to get some % of their damage going through resists. Not sure how that works, but it definitely does. I bring Soma with cold for the slow proc and just tear them up regardless of what element they are.

For any who come to read this later, this was disproved. What I said was correct, but after testing I can see they're not working anymore. At some point it looks like they fixed these loopholes.

The last time i had trouble with one of them was in Exterminate, i had the objective completed and no way to damage him, nobody to come help, in the end i got him stuck on one side of the mission and ran to the other and waited for him to despawn.

 

They are rediculous and we need some other counter besides just getting lucky with elements.

I don't quite understand why you're having a problem. Also, without them, Hek is locked.

forced loadout? i don't like ember, and i dont have soma, and what does the slow proc help in killing the boss that they are covering?

 

they are fine, just learn to adapt

There's no sense in demanding that an enemy needs to be removed from the game just because you can't beat it. That's like saying that Torment 6 in Diablo 3 (or any Torment difficulty for that matter) should be removed because you're a low Paragon Level if at all  and you die in one shot while others can survive it and thrive very well at it.

Point being made is: Just because a challenge exists and you're not doing well at it doesn't mean that it needs to be removed, it means you need to either work harder or stop doing it all together.

After all, adaptation is what makes a good gamer good.

i know, in the ice phase i was doing 0 damage because of the prosecutor 

Doing damage in the ice phase only takes of his shield nothing else . (To clarify we talking about when he has frozen himself or shooting the pipes?)

no?

how about something should be removed because it makes it IMPOSSIBLE and not difficult? how about removing something because if you DO prepare for it you will be 99% less usefull on all enemies just because you are forced to use a S#&$ty loadout? how about removing them because they are unfair and impossible to beat unless you decide to do nothing but kill them and no other enemies on the map? and how about just changing their mechanics so they won't be invincible?

dude i know how he works alright? after shooting the red dot he smashes the ground and freezes and he is supposed to take damage from me, but he was invulnerable.

I sometimes end up having to fight ice prosecutors with no ice weapons...

 

 

Well i love them for real...

 

 

Made a defense mission running my @$$ off during 10 wave (we didnt had elec)

 

 

but really its funny and add some gameplay (you can allways manage to TROW THEM OUT OF THE MAP)

 

 

also we a 4 squad Tenno and a bit of chat and some team work

 

they are not a big deal

Wrong.

 

You can't hurt him until he's on fire.

 

His shield may move, but you can't hurt his HP.

Yeah, Prosecutors are really annoying. They're why I never go to Ceres anymore unless an Invasion is there, and even then, I side with Corpus to get rid of them and get the G3 after me. Got Hydroid and my codex scans, so no more reason to go there. Slash damage used to be able to kill them, but I believe DE took that out.

The thing is that they are NOT invincible. You just aren't taking the proper approach to tackle them. Instead of being hostile because I'm trying to make a point try to take in mind how one is supposed to work and rework mods for certain situations. Using prior knowledge to stride with ease is what makes the best individuals.

Once again, they are NOT impossible to beat.

The thing about 'adapting' to prosecutors is there's no skill component to it, it's just switching out a couple mods without changing how you actually approach the encounter

 

Having to use all your weapons and sentinel or powers as a set to fight off the enemies is most definitely changing how you actually approach the mission. It does shake up gameplay and make people think.

 

I hate that I'm defending prosecutors. I think DE could do much better and I really expected they were just for the event and we'd get regular guardsman dropping them afterwards.... but they're not nearly as bad as this thread implies.

they are possible to beat if you decide to take useless loadouts so that the boss himself will take hours to kill, they are impossible to beat if you don't want to carry all weapons, or just not take a sent and an elemental frame, they are impossible to beat if you decide to be usefull in higher levels
