unmog
Why I dont care for the argument of if mods are skill or not, I do have an issue with enemies and aim botting you. Especially noticable with the corpus with their flux lazers that have infinite range. When your host theres nothing at all you can do to dodge it. Same for grineer with hitscan weapons. The enemies in general should aim at where you were a fraction of a second ago, to give you a chance to dodge this crap and simulate a not so perfect aimbot like accuracy Oh, and the corpus flux rifle crewmen should have their range dramatically reduced. :/
_Rue_
Hmm... an aura? Or a slot similar to aura that would not affect other players? Like a mode slot? Evade Adds replace roll with a super-fast ninja dash Reduces base shields vitality and armor by 25% Increases base stamina by 25% Defend Replaces roll with block Increases base shields vitality and armor by 25% Reduces base stamina by 25% Something like that? Sounds nice. Ill post something about mod vs skill Aim-bots and Hit-Scan hopefully people will stop posting about those here.

This is a better idea, of course it could just be a mode toggle without the need for making people farm for it. Gonna hate me for this, but someone needs to give a more thorough explanation on the problem of it being a mod. If it's skill related, it should be under our own skill, mods shouldn't be able to teach us new techniques(Unless directly quest related in the upcoming system, by which the mod only becomes a symbol of learning that skill.). Also No one will equip a mod that is only situationally useful and/or dependent on them when they could equip another mod that is more consistently beneficial to them that also comes without the effort. Right now, people have no problem surviving with the mods they do, so anything that is less consistent or requires more effort isn't going to come in as an attractive option. Making this a natural part of the player skill might reduce the need for those survival mods. It can't fight and win against them by being in direct competition with them. Eventually if people are given it free they might become confident enough in their use of it to forgo those defensive mods entirely, and thus make those mods feel less necessary. Ironically setting up a more friendly environment for which it could be a mod by not being a mod. Edited July 7, 2014 by LukeAura
