Rampart34
Right now the Grineer approach us in drips and drabs, and are often spread out over an entire room. This means that we ussually only have to worry about fighting one or two enemies at a time(the exception being the smaller, more open rooms). Instead, I would like to see the Grineer use better tactics, or just better positioning. Examples include using heavy weapons to suppress approaches, and marines with combat shields buffering units of riflemen. Where the riflemen stand behind the marines with shields for cover, and fire over the top of the shields. It would also be nice to see more Grineer making an effort to hold the obvious ship choke-points. Because that is logically where a ship's crew would try to repel boarders. I know this goes under the categories of "soon", and "we'll getting there". However, I really do want to make sure this gets said. The reason being that most(if not all) of the "improve the AI" threads have concentrated on the Grineer reacting to us when we're coming up from behind them, or running past obvious targets; instead of mentioning what we would like to see the Grineer doing to try and repel the boarders(us). Also, what kind of tactics would you like to see the Grineer using to repel boarders? Asides from what I've mentioned previously, I would also like to see the Grineer venting the atmosphere in rooms to try and suffocate us. Although I would also like to see the loss of atmosphere being made more dangerous, rather than just a slow drain on the shield(slightly faster drain). What do you think? Are you not seeing the shield marines doing that? I seem to encounter just such behaviour fairly frequently recently, especially when the (trooper and shielder) come together to storm my position. So, they are definitely already doing this. Try leaving some gunners alive when there are shielders around to see this! :P As for venting atmosphere... the hull breaches? When that happens, if your shield goes to 0, you start losing health. If they do implement something like this, I hope there's a way for the player to counter it. Otherwise... I foresee many ragequits ahead. I think just exposure to space would not kill Tenno... I mean, witness our extraction sequence - Tenno just hanging onto the bottom of the boarding craft as it pulls away!
Thorkoal
This falls under the "improve AI" category obviouly, but as I understand, you're talking about specific behavior when they spot us. I agree, something must be done to improve the inteligence of enemies, sometimes I can simply rush towards them and spam E to kill them all O.o Where the riflemen stand behind the marines with shields for cover, and fire over the top of the shields. This is already in place haven't you seen it? O.o

It's the extraction sequence that must be changed, space is very hazardous, especially when your suit is full of bullet holes after a fight. LOL. Quite right! edit: However, I assumed the Tenno suit has self-healing abilities. Such materials are already in R&D today, so... in the grim dark future of the 41st mil... ahem. I mean in future where Tenno exist I'm sure this is like standard fare. iinm, the US is already trying to make armour that releases stuff that closes wounds and injects drugs to soldiers. :) Edited January 9, 2013 by Windbow

O.o I guess I should have been more specific about what I meant about this. Because the behavior often gets lost in the whole drips and drabs aproach that we see coming from the Grineer. So while they may do this, I often encounter a marine with a combat shield moving in separately from the riflemen and vice versa. What I meant I would like to see multiple marines with combat shields holding position in front of a squad of riflemen to form a gun-line and to hold a choke point. Which would present a nice oportunity for the bunker buster type of abilities, or just some epic action storming the shield wall.
Windbow
Ah, I've not seen the shieldwall, no. A whole bunch of shielders! That would be pretty brutal, I think. Especially, when just 2-3 shielders can stunlock you to death (with their shield-bash). Reviving will just mean a repeat of that. This would need some clever tactics indeed to get through - even with a team.

Rampart34
So, any other thoughts or ideas on what other tactics the Grineer could use to try and kill us all?
Ryme
I have seen Grineer shielders and lancers line up and push towards me. I see them using cover. i see them hiding whilre being fired on and wait for me to reload to move up from cover to cover. I have even had Commander units use teleport swap to drop me in to the middle of a squad of Grineers. The AI in this game is near the best I've EVER seen in a F2P game. I have played Firefall and the AI in that game is a dribbling retard compared to the AI in this game. Frankly. I've played PVP shooters with actual people that arn't as smart as the AI in this game.
