Suggestion: Mute Other Players

Okay, so far my biggest pet peeve with players in this game is finding those randoms who seem to forget they have a microphone on. They talk loudly to whoever is with them in person, be it yelling at their kids (or their kids thinking its funny to use the mic as their own personal karaoke machine), on the phone, or even watching another TV and it really over-powers the in game music. Nothing is worse than being a captive audience in having to listen to another rude player who isn't interacting with anything game related. Who takes over the sound!

 

Would be nice if there was a super quick way to access a menu to 'mute player voices', even if just for the duration of the level. Something where it'll only take a few seconds instead of menu scrolling. Considering you run into them when they join an ongoing survival/defense you can't spend much time in menus trying to ignore them until the battle is done, else you get dead. Would rather be able to do this than abort the mission.

 

Last night I had somebody on the phone for the whole dang battle, didn't seem to care about anybody else. Also had the person with the loud child. It's getting old!

That'll select the in game person to mute? If so, that'd make me a happy, happy, happy camper. Will have to check it out later tonight.

 

Still new to the whole social chat thing and how to control it considering I just bought myself a headset when I started playing Warframe :)  I DO remember to mute myself at least if nobody is talking in game (AND have my camera unplugged since I learned the hard way they CAN hear you).

I think you a probably right (It is usually a surprise to hear a voice on PC) this would be good to be implemented and probably wouldnt be to hard, but in the mean time, i think there is an option in the menu to mute voice.

I failed to mute last night, but did manage to get the squad list with names up, hopefully the right place. Had THAT kid again who just likes to randomly shout at space. I think I might have to add my own voice next time and ask them to keep it down.

 

Though I COULD lower the voice receive volume since when I'm with friends with use the PS4 Party chat instead of the in game one.

Still not getting the mute thing in game. Maybe it's just not there.
