(PSN)LiveAndLetEDO_SG
As of now, since the latest update (Depths of the Void), Nova, when playing as a non-host, has a bugged Molecular Prime now. If you are not the host, Molecular Prime will only apply the slowdown debuff on enemies BUT will no longer cause them to explode upon death, meaning no chain explosions. The explosions will only work properly if you are the host. Is anyone else also experiencing the same issue as me? If yes, then we will have to wait for a hotfix for this. DE, are you listening? EDIT: UPDATE: It seems this Molecular Prime bug has been hotfixed now; the chain explosions now work properly, regardless of whether you are the host or not! Great news, and good job to DE if they indeed hotfixed this. Edited July 13, 2014 by (PS4)LiveAndLetEDO_SG
(PSN)Destroyr34
Can confirm that this is indeed bugged, chain explosions seem to be effected severely even if hosting or not. Was this a secret nerf or something along the lines?

Was this a secret nerf or something along the lines? If this was a secret nerf, it would not make sense though to only limit the explosions to when you are hosting. Why not remove the host explosions as well, for uniformity? Let's wait for a response from DE hopefully.

True, from testing with a fellow clan member we both experienced the same limited explosions even as hosts so not quite sure why that seems to be. Regardless Nova's CC ability seems to just add slow mo on targets whilst giving single target implosions rather then chain. But as you said, will wait to see what DE says about it. (PSN)king_kmodo93
You know I thought it was odd the one time I did one of the alerts with a Nova and none of the enemies chained and this explains it. I guess this update introduced ALOT of bugs to the game.

(PSN)Fbeast2
These changes were made in 13.4 We just got these changes in the 13.7 update. Everything you are talking about is detailed below. Explosions have been nurfed and slow motion has been nurfed and capped. These changes were listed in the build notes for update 13.3, but shown as 13.4 on the Wiki. I don't think they made it in until this latest 13.7 update as we are experiencing the described changes now. Changes Nova Changes:Molecular Prime: On cast, no longer instantly affects all enemies in a radius, now grows out from Novas casting position with a new visual effect. This is affected by Duration mods. Explosive radius of primed enemies has been brought in (6,7,8,10 meters per mod rank). This is closer to other explosive weapons in the game. This is affected by range mods. Duration now scales with level but has been brought in line with other power durations (10,15,20,30 seconds per mod rank). This is affected by Duration mods. Slow-motion effect on enemies now scale with level (.9,.8,.75,.7 percent of normal speed) This is affected by Strength mods, but will have a cap on how slow you can make your enemies overall Primed explosions are now offset slightly for performance reasons (creating tons of ragdolls in same frame can cause visible hitches) Edited July 10, 2014 by (PS4)Fbeast2

Seems to suffer from the same bug Helios(?) had with the scanner ability only working if your the host.
(PSN)Destroyr34
Update 13.3 > Changes to Nova as described in the supposed 13.4 patch notes took place as instant prime was replaced with radial prime upon casting. But that said, chain explosions on groups of enemies were still in effect and was greatly used as a means of CC as its original intention. Update 13.7 Nova's CC ability took a drastic change, aside from the same radial priming on the change list we appear to have lost the ability to chain explode enemy units. The ability still slows enemies however the explosions only explode single enemy targets instead of groups which renders CC usage almost useless. Some say it working as intended, others dispute that the earlier changes are now coming into effect, IMHO there was nothing wrong with the chain explosions to render them now nonexistent, if it were a performance issue then would have been crashing every time there is more then 1 Nova in ODD. (PSN)Zephyres3
Yes but unless the Nova is host, the Molecular Prime will not deal damage to anything as it is suppose to when marked enemies die.
